This is one of the biggest regulatory wins in crypto history.

I explain:

- Running a validator node on Ethereum?
✅ Not a security

- Staking your SOL through a third-party operator?
✅ Not a security

-Delegating your tokens to help secure a PoS chain?
✅ Still not a security

- Providing slashing protection, early unbonding, or aggregated staking?
✅ Not a security either

Massive success for proof-of-stake networks.

It’s direct reversal of anti-crypto hostility from previous SEC regime.

For years, SEC threatened to classify staking as a financial security.

Now it admits the obvious:

Protocol staking is not sale of securities.

It’s not investment in someone else’s managerial work.

It’s network participation.
Validation.
Infrastructure.

This is a win for:

- Ethereum
- Solana
- Cosmos
- AVAX
- Every PoS chain that powers Web3

But here’s what SEC didn’t approve:

So-called “staking” products that are just fake yield wrappers.

Native staking is safe
Custodial staking is allowed
Ancillary services (slashing cover, early exit, reward smoothing) are permitted

But fake staking with no protocol role?

Still securities.

ETFs approved
Stablecoins advancing

Trump polling ahead

Compare to Europe:

- MiCA blocks innovation
- Staking frameworks unclear
- Stablecoins face issuance caps
