Go to look up info on nano materials in plants and what do ya know. They admit they used soft polymeric nano paticles on the animals.

This is actually a good read. For anyone trying to understand how this technology works the plants part of it is interesting because they have not actually figured out how to fully and easily get the tech in the plants.
