If this has already been said it still bears repeating. For linux users (not sure about other os's):
1. Install Calibre reader
2. Install plugin KFX input
3. Install plugin DeDRM
4. Downloadf your kindle purchases while there is still time.
5. I would never suggest you remove the DRM from your kindle books, because it may be illegal in some places. So really don't do it if it is illegal where you are. Otherwise ... go for it."
