#Fitch downgraded the US sovereign rating from AAA (highest rating) to AA+ (1 notch lower)

If I am not wrong, Fitch was the only one amongst the big rating agencies which was still at AAA for US, everyone else was already at AA+. S&P cut US rating way back in 2011 to AA+

Theoretically, US yields/rates should rise because the risk has gone up and hence they should pay more interest, stocks should fall for the same reason but impact if any will be short lived I think, let’s see how it unfolds. (Credit: Kirtan Shah)
