Answer: 48!! Yes, 1 Payment Bank, 4 Schedule Commercial Bank, 6 NBFCs, and 37 Cooperative Banks!

This number is 21 for the month of September, where 3 scheduled commercial Banks, 3 NBFCs, and 15 Cooperative Banks were penalized!!
 
For Schedule Commercial Banks, the offense ranged from KYC related: Multiple customer IDs, proper CDD not done for Sole Proprietor firms, eKYC accounts not being regularised on time, and not having proper software for transaction monitoring in the account.

To SWIFT-related- created Financial/Nonfinancial message without first underlying CBS entry.
 
Customer Service Related: failed to ensure that customers were not contacted after 7 pm and before 7 am, interest rates on FD not matching with interest rate chart being shared…

And, one training of recovery agents related…

The penalty ranged from ₹ 30 Lakhs to ₹12 Crore ...
