โPrecis writing is summarising a comprehension in limited words, covering all the important aspects and details of the passage given
๐ซฅRules of Precis Writing
๐ซฐTo avoid making any errors in writing a precis, follow a set of rules as mentioned below:
โ Read the comprehension carefully!
โ Note down the important points!
โ Make a rough draft of the precis!
โ Make use of simple and precise language, as much as possible
โ Draft the final precis once all the points have been included !
๐ซฅThe topic of precis writing is not included in all exams, but the most common exams where this topic is included in the syllabus are SSC exams, RRB exams,

Address of only the sender should be mentioned in an informal letter.
Use comma after every line of address.
Salutation should be โDear name of the friend/ familyโ.
The introduction should have greetings and mention the reason for writing the letter.
The body should give descriptions of the same.
The conclusions must end with well wishes, etc.
Be polite and do not form long sentences and be extra careful of the word limit.
