β 1) Like Central Planning Commission, States also had their own Planning Departments which will be now replaced by 'State Institution for Transformation' (SIT)
β 2) It should be noted that the 'Fund Allocation' under different schemes (Centrally Sponsored) which earlier used to be done by 'Planning Commission', is now done by 'Ministry of Finance (Public Finance Division under Dept. of Expenditure) and not by NITI Aayog.
β 3) The national GDP or GDP growth is basically aggregation of States GDP (SGDP) + Output of Defence, Railways, Central Highways and other Centre Specific activities.
β GDP of India = SGDP + Output from Centre specific activities like Railways, Defence, Central Highways etc.
