✅In India banking and insurance sectors are regulated by two different entities,  The banking sector is governed by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the insurance sector is regulated by Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA).

✅Bancassurance is a mechanism through which an Insurance company Exapands its reach upto customers from Diverse India ,it is an agreement between Bank and Insurance company .

✅In last decade,the expansion of Banking Network is discernible In terms of people's reach.That's why the reason this sector seemed befitted for the project like Bancassurance,It allows two sectors to leverage the existing network that banks have.

✅RBI recognized the need of an effective method to make insurance policies reach people of all economic classes in every corner of the nation. Insurance companies proposed to bring insurance products into the lives of the common man by making them available at the most basic financial point, the local bank branch, through Bancassurance.
✅Through this new distribution network, the insurance company significantly extends its customer base and enjoys access to customers who were previously difficult to reach. An insurance company can establish itself more quickly in a new market  using a local bank’s existing network.

✅The bank sees bancassurance as a way of creating a new revenue flow and diversifying its business activities.

✅They can also get an opportunity to provide more products to customers So that they would have a broad based on spot services .

✅Customer can save time ans energy,they get all round service on one spot .

✅Knowing the facts ,Banking employees are hardly get any specific training for handling these Insurance products ,they  go through extra work load  but  having an efficient Banking system ,Bancassurance can be facilitated to each and everyone around the Nation.

✅We all know, how hazardously the Covid-19 consecutive waves affected our countrymen, the pandemic had created the worst crisis for the working class, and migrants were found to be the most vulnerable among the working class. They stayed hungry, hopeless, and in pitiful condition at their place, Neither did they have any source of Income, nor any food available. Govt had suspended Railways, Flights, and other public Transport, and due to this, they were stranded in their place. When Migrants were not able to cope with the condition awakened due to the pandemic then they started roaming back to their homes on foot, it was a great risk of spreading the virus across the nation. Many reports suggested and advised govt to come up with any foolproof mechanism through which Subsidised food grain quota can be availed to every stranded People in Metro cities and anywhere in our country.

✅India has rolled out the One Nation, One Ration card Scheme throughout the country.ONORC is an initiative in the way to ensure 100% coverage of Food Grains at a subsidized rate. Way back, the Implementation of the Scheme was initiated in 2019, but in June 2022 Central Govt has finally operationalized the scheme across the country. Under the Scheme, Beneficiaries can get their food grain Quota from any electronic point of sale device,i.e through an ePoS machine anytime and anywhere. The main motto of this scheme is to make food security Portable throughout the country, any citizen who belongs to a state and is enrolled in the Voting list of that State, but due to any purpose resides in any other state of India, can get benefit from this scheme by ONOR card.

✅ONORC envisages removing the geographical hindrance to social justice and enabling the right to food. Making this scheme more successful, the government has also rolled out the 'MERA RATION' mobile application to take maximum advantage of the ONORC plan. The digitization of this Public Distribution System process, through Aadhaar-linked ration cards and smart cards, has been pushed in an effort to reduce leakages in Food distribution.
