🗣🇮🇷🇺🇸🇮🇱❗️Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian: "The attacks launched by the United States and the Zionist entity against Iran on June 13, 2025, and February 28, 2026, constituted a blatant aggression against the fundamental principles of the UN Charter and international law, and against the principle of prohibiting the use of force and the right to life."

🔴 "This aggression began with the major crime of the martyrdom of the Leader of the Revolution. The aggressors also attacked a school in Minab, resulting in the martyrdom of 168 students and teachers. On the same day, they targeted a sports stadium in Lamerd, Fars province, leaving 200 martyrs and wounded."

🔴 "These are just three examples of the major crimes committed on the first day of a war that lasted 40 days. Facing such brutality, the Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on the high capabilities of its brave armed forces and with the full support of its people, managed to inflict heavy and strategic defeats on the United States and the occupying entity and achieve resounding victories."

🔴 "After 40 days of heroic resistance by the Iranian people against the widespread attacks that targeted military and economic facilities, infrastructure, and even schools and hospitals in almost all Iranian cities, and after the United States failed to achieve any of its predetermined goals, it was forced to agree to a ceasefire and end the war."

🔴 "After about three months of negotiations mediated by the friendly and brotherly countries Pakistan and Qatar, an agreement known as the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding was reached on 28 Khordad 1405. But the United States' commitment to the document bearing its president's signature did not last more than two weeks before it began exaggerating its demands and reneging on its obligations, which continues to this day."

🔴 "It is obvious that the United States' violation of its commitments was met with a proportionate Iranian response. But I say clearly: if the United States returns to its commitments under the aforementioned memorandum, the Islamic Republic of Iran will immediately reciprocate."

🇱🇧🇮🇱⚠️Lebanon stands on the brink of 'Ali al-Taher' — a major military operation?

🔴 The fragile calm that allowed the Lebanese-Israeli negotiation track to move forward, with two rounds in Rome, is now more fragile than ever.

🔴 Any expansion of the US-Iranian confrontation will have direct repercussions on the Lebanese arena, especially since 'Ali al-Taher' has become the most dangerous sticking point in the southern scene.

🔴 Indications suggest that the third round of negotiations, which was supposed to be held in Rome in early September, is now uncertain, with talk shifting to the second half of the month, as the US mediator has yet to achieve a serious breakthrough on the verification committee, pilot zones, or Israeli withdrawal.

🔴 Sources following the matter fear that Israel is exploiting the pre-election period to impose new facts on the ground, and that 'Ali al-Taher' could become the flashpoint that topples not just 'Rome 3' but the entire calm the Lebanese front has seen.

🔴 The increasing Israeli focus on the area, and talk of its strategic importance, coincide with continued demolition, bulldozing, and burning operations in several southern towns, suggesting that Tel Aviv is treating the current phase as one of improving field positions before any eventual settlement.

🔴 Wide-informed sources say the real fear is that Benjamin Netanyahu decides to launch a major military operation in Ali al-Taher if he finds that escalation serves his electoral calculations, especially given the Lebanese belief that current US pressure on Tel Aviv is not enough to force real concessions.

🇺🇸🇮🇷📰WSJ: Iran can effectively close Strait of Hormuz without sinking a single ship

🔴 The Wall Street Journal reports that Iran only needs to convince insurers that a mine may be present somewhere in the waterway to disrupt shipping.

🔴 Washington would need to locate and destroy every mine, while Tehran would only need to create one credible report that a mine may be present.

🔴 Iran displayed a Fajr-5 missile during a 2025 military exercise that was reportedly capable of launching a naval mine from the coast, which could allow Tehran to lay mines without exposing vessels to US aircraft.

🔴 This capability may have been among the targets of US Central Command (CENTCOM) strikes on Larak Island.

🔴 The IRGC also reportedly retains large numbers of small, fast boats hidden along Iran's coastline.

🔴 A RAND Corporation specialist noted that mine warfare does not allow anyone to say all mines have been cleared; authorities can only say the level of risk has been reduced to an acceptable level.

🇾🇪🇸🇴⚡️Houthi–al-Shabaab cooperation deepens with weapons, training, and maritime surveillance plans

🔴 Since 2023, a network of intermediaries and smugglers has operated between the two groups, allowing al-Shabaab to acquire weapons and receive training from the Houthis in Yemen.

🔴 Weapons sought include shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles, 107mm rockets, attack drones, anti-tank missiles, and night vision equipment.

🔴 An estimated 100 al-Shabaab members have reportedly undergone training in Houthi-controlled areas; a Houthi delegation visited Somalia this year to coordinate further.

🔴 The groups are considering creating a maritime surveillance capability from the African side of the Gulf of Aden, using radar and monitoring equipment to track ship movements.

🔴 Coordination also covers possibly disrupting Israeli activity in the Horn of Africa, amid Houthi concerns over Israeli presence there.

🔴 The main intermediary, a Somali citizen, was killed in a U.S. airstrike in February, but al-Shabaab has appointed a replacement and the connection continues.
