In response to the remarks made by U.S. President Donald Trump, claiming that the movement is the one rejecting ceasefire offers in Gaza, Hamas affirms the following:

Hamas has never been an obstacle to reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. We have demonstrated full flexibility and positivity in this regard. The American administration, mediators, and the international community know that the war criminal Netanyahu is the sole obstacle to any attempts to reach an agreement.

Netanyahu has reversed the January agreement and completely ignored the proposal by Wittekov, which the movement had approved. This was before he committed his heinous crime by bombing the headquarters of the movement’s negotiation delegation in Doha while they were discussing President Trump’s latest proposal.

We call on the U.S. administration to uphold the values of justice and to actively intervene to compel the terrorist occupation government to cease its crimes of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement against our Palestinian people, and to withdraw its political and military support for this brutal war.
