Hebrew Channel i24news:
New and concerning details about the launch of a Palestinian rocket near Ramallah:
- A locally manufactured "Qassam"-type rocket with a warhead was successfully launched by resistance fighters late at night last week.
- The rocket launch test occurred near the village of Kafr Ni'ma (approximately 4 kilometers from the Modi'in Illit settlement).
- Israeli security forces found the launch platform and the rocket's remnants a significant distance away from the launch site.
- Contrary to what was claimed—the rocket was indeed launched and flew. It was not discovered during the manufacturing or storage phases, but rather was located after it had ascended into the air, disintegrated, and fell to the ground.
- Regarding the size of the warhead, contrary to what was said—the matter is still under examination by security officials. The assessment is that the rocket contained a relatively small warhead.
- This is the first time a rocket assembled in the West Bank has reached this level of maturity and technology.
- According to estimates by experts in the field: A "Qassam" rocket of this type, which was seized, could have a range of nearly 10 kilometers. From the launch point, it could reach at least the "Modi'in" settlement.

In mid-2023, a small resistance cell in Jenin began manufacturing, testing, and even launching locally-produced rockets toward nearby settlements.
I have collected photos and videos from that period, showing the process step by step from assembly, to test launches, to live firing attempts.
Importantly, this was not an officially adopted project by any of the major factions. The fighters themselves claimed loyalty to the Al-Qassam Brigades, but no movement formally endorsed or announced it. It was an independent, tight-knit group working under extremely difficult conditions.
At the time, reports surfaced that Israeli forces had assassinated one of the key individuals behind the effort due to lapses in security, causing the project to go quiet.
Fast forward to now new reports from near Ramallah show rockets once again being tested and launched, proving that the idea never died. The Jenin attempt in 2023 was a first spark, carried forward today in different places and by different groups.
This history matters it shows that resistance innovation has been quietly alive in the West Bank for years, even before these recent revelations.

Press Release
The horrific massacre committed by the criminal occupation army this evening, when it bombed innocent civilians near Al-Shifa Hospital during their forced displacement from Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of at least fifteen martyrs, constitutes a full-fledged war crime. It reveals the brutality of this entity, which persecutes civilians even during their displacement, in continuation of the genocidal approach it has been practicing against our Palestinian people for nearly two years, in full view of the entire world.
This massacre, along with other daily crimes and massacres occurring in various areas of the Gaza Strip, comes less than 24 hours after the release of a new UN report documenting the occupation's commission of the crime of genocide against our people. It thus represents a blatant message of defiance and blatant contempt for the international community, and a grave disregard for international laws and conventions.
We call on our sister Arab and Islamic countries, and the international community, with all its institutions and bodies, to take immediate and serious action to stop these heinous crimes, to restrain the war criminal Netanyahu from continuing his aggression and terrorism against our people, and to take the necessary legal measures to hold the occupation leaders accountable before the International Criminal Court and ensure that they do not escape punishment.

Hamad: We were in a meeting with the negotiating delegation and some of our advisor brothers, and we were studying the proposal we had received from our brothers in Qatar, which was the American proposal.
Hamad: We had begun discussing the proposal and examining all its aspects. Less than an hour after we began studying the proposal, we heard the sound of a deafening bombardment. We quickly woke up and worked to leave the area, knowing that this was an Israeli attack. We quickly tried to leave the area, and thank God, we were able to escape.
Hamad: The situation was terrifying, and the bombing was intense. The rockets were falling continuously, without stopping. About 12 rockets were fired in less than a minute. But thank God, God granted us survival from this treacherous aggression against us and our sister country, Qatar.
Hamad: The occupation's goals were clear from the beginning, and they spoke openly and without ambiguity: that the occupying state intends to continue the war, to destroy, displace, commit massacres, and to continue its genocide and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip.
Hamad: We did not rule out the possibility of a storming of the Gaza Strip and widespread destruction. As we see today, there is widespread massacres, the killing of civilians and children, and the destruction of homes and residential towers.
Hamad: There is a clear Israeli plan to eliminate all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip, and no one needs to analyze what Israel's goals are. They are bloody, brutal, and limitless. They kill, destroy, and exploit every opportunity to commit massacres.

Remember the martyr engineer Fadi Al-Batsh, who was assassinated in Malaysia in 2016. The Interior Ministry in Gaza announced the arrest of the agent who killed him after his return to Gaza in 2022, and he was sentenced to death.
This is the agent Hossam Abdel-Majid Al-Astal, an officer in the Preventive Security Service, linked to the Israeli Mossad since 1996.
Hossam fled Gaza after the military crackdown in 2007 and returned in 2022 to carry out missions on behalf of the occupation. During his interrogation, he confessed to his espionage activities and all the missions he carried out, including the assassination of engineer Fadi Al-Batsh. He escaped from prison after the prison bombings at the beginning of the war and joined the militia of the agent Yasser Abu Shabab.
Soon, God willing, he will be brought to justice.
