On the 9th of October Bishkek Toastmasters🇰🇬 welcomed a guest from Atyrau Open Toastmasters club🇰🇿 - Immediate Past President, Batyrbek Alimjanov. 🙌🏼
Batyrbek shared his impressions about the meeting:
Right from the bus, the first thing I did in Bishkek was that I rushed in to witness a BTC session. Unfortunately I was late and only joined at Table Topics session. I somehow hesitated to interrupt the TTM (I wish I could win my own overpoliteness) and waited until the President closed the session. But afterwards we were at social outing in a nice cozy restaurant and exchanged with all the experience both our clubs have had since our establishment (both AOTC and BTC were almost "born" at the same time, btw). And it was great talking. Our conversation went far beyond the Toastmasters topics (btw, there are no restricted topics 😊) I really enjoyed the company of officers and other official members. And another btw - all the officers are ladies and they do rock - they're doing great job!

There is an audiobook to which he listened to 5 times over: Ego is the Enemy by Ryan Holiday. Lukas loves travelling around Europe to deliver his trainings as he enjoys meeting interesting and motivated people - exactly the sort you get among Toastmasters!

On 20 October, Moscow Free Speakers 🇷🇺 conducted master-class on public speaking at Международная конференция: Academic Writing in a Global World.

How it was? Firstly I offered an overview on what Toastmasters is about and why it is so valuable learning experience for its members, and then we had a session demonstrating essential parts of educational program: prepared speeches with further evaluations: speeches presented by conference participants were evaluated by experienced Toastmasters and speech prepared by Toastmasters was evaluated by the audience. 🔊
We listened to conference participants introducing their professional interests: Inga Zashikhina was talking about learning language and Andrey Yudin about approaches to involving students in scientific work. They received positive and useful feedback from personal evaluators Holly Marshburn and Dmitriy Trapeznikov.☑️
Then experienced Toastmaster Dayana Zu presented her bright performance on deadliest sin in public speaking, audience shared their feedback on it.ℹ️
Was especially happy that after the session several people were interested to come to our regular meetings! Looking forward to see them again!🙌🏼

Today we introduce you a new club - Minsk Toastmasters 🇧🇾 . Club started conducting meetings this summer and it’s on the way to official registration. 🔜
Now Minsk Toastmasters has almost full team of officers:

How to master Table Topic Speaking⁉️
We prepared three simple tips that will help to improve your spontaneous speeches:
1️⃣ Think out of the box - create an answer that breaks all the stereotypes and seems to be a bit crazy. The audience is waiting for the show and as long as you can make them laugh you can be a bit crazy🤪
2️⃣ Listen carefully how other people answer questions and how the audience reacts. Feel the vibe coming from the audience: do they want to laugh or dive in romantic mood? Base your answer on observations 🧐
3️⃣ Think of your real story to tell, when the topic is announced. Keep in mind several stories that are related to the topic of the day. Then you can modify this story to fit the question 🤓
And the most important thing - PRACTICE as much as possible! Best impromtu speeches come with experience!💪🏽
