Many members of Toastmasters face with difficulties with grabbing of attention in the begging of the speech. #tm_tips from Aizhan Zhumabayeva will help you to solve this problem✊🏼

Here are 3 quick methods that will help you to grab the attention:

1️⃣ Open your speech asking a question. Ask simple yes/no questions so that audience can raise hands and get involved.
2️⃣ Use some object: a book, a chair, etc. People will be curious about it and start listening.
3️⃣ Start with well known facts or share facts about you. For example: I am vegetarian, global warming is killing the Earth.

On the photo below winner of Toastmasters International Speech contest 2014 - Dananjaya Hettiarachchi uses rose to grab the attention 🌹

Try at least one of the methods and see how useful it can be!🙌🏼
