## TRON Scanner Lag

This has not caused significant disruption and only the occasional reschedule, but we are riding the line on lagging consensus. If your scanning lag is not due to expected maintenance, please monitor your lag and ensure you have adequate resources for the daemon - share it between fewer Bifrosts if needed. There is strong daily periodicity in the TRON chain load, so ensure you are provisioning appropriately considering the higher load periods during the day.

If you are struggling and have limited near term ability to address resource issues you can also experiment with the prefetch functionality that was added in `3.11.2` on TRON by setting `BIFROST_CHAINS_TRON_BLOCK_SCANNER_PREFETCH_BLOCKS=2` in your Bifrost environment config.

The security budget reached near the cap this week and prevented a large secured asset deposit. It is important to ensure there is sufficient space in the security budget to allow for continuing growth of the app layer, sustain arbitrage, and create capacity for the order books that will be enabled in `3.12`.

Cap behavior: `Total Node Bond * TVLCapBasisPoints/10000 > Total Vault Value`

The team suggests increasing this mimir from `10000` to `15000` to increase the security budget by 50% (approximately 50m RUNE) and ensure there is capacity to continue normal operations. This is a change to the security posture of the network, as it will allow the network to secure more value in the vaults than the value bonded by nodes. The team is in agreement that the current node distribution has low risk of vault capture and it will continue to be monitored. There is ongoing work to migrate TSS to DKLS, which will further mitigate any risk by allowing for a smaller number of vaults with larger membership.

**Mimir Change for Advanced Swap Queue Bug Fix**

There is a bug in the advanced swap queue calculating the maximum quantity where we're applying the derived asset depths, rather than the native asset depths. This effectively makes trades slower & calculate the optimal number of sub-swaps incorrectly. Derived depths are unused, so this mimir change is safe. The devs will issue a patch in a future version, but this mimir will effectively fix the problem in the meantime. @everyone
