Netflix has unveiled the official trailer and first images of the new thriller and mystery mini-series The Final Problem, produced by Mod Producciones and Fernando Bovaira, based on the best-selling novel of the same name by writer Arturo Pérez-Reverte.

The story takes place in the spring of 1959. Thirteen people find themselves cut off from the rest of the world by a devastating storm on an island off the coast of Mallorca. A secluded hotel becomes a shelter for the guests, but no one expected to find in the morning the body of an English tourist, Elisa Mander. At first it seemed like suicide, but soon it becomes clear: the girl was murdered. A former actor, Basil, who once played Sherlock Holmes, will have to deal with all this.

Leaving the island turns out to be impossible, the crime becomes more and more convoluted, and every guest and employee becomes a suspect.

The four-episode series will be available on Netflix on September 25, 2026.
