Sometimes they rest here. The goblins of the forest. They do no harm to other souls. Some have seen them, running through the forest with their little crooked legs. They are looking for unsuspecting passers-by to scare them with an icy scream. But that's all. Other than that, they almost don't show up. They don't hurt anyone.....

She is Cleopatra.

Contrary to popular belief, her name is not Egyptian, but Greek. It means “father’s glory,” in the sense of “glorious lineage” (from the Greek ,kleos, “glory,” and patros, “of the father”). Cleopatra isn’t actually Egyptian, but Greek Macedonian. She belongs to a dynasty of invaders who have occupied the Egyptian throne for almost 300 years: the Ptolemaic dynasty, with different customs and a different language, Greek. Her full name is Cleopatra Thea Philopator, literally “Cleopatra, the goddess who loves her father” from the greek thea, “goddess,” and, philopatora, “who loves her father"). Although we perceive her name as unique in history and belonging to an equally unique queen, she was not the only one to be called that. We know of six others preceding her, which is why, to avoid any confusion, modern historians refer to her as Cleopatra VII.

Todays post will be a little different. I have a task for all of you here.
Just heads up, this year National tree day falls on Wednesday, September 22, so get ready to plant a tree until then, if you're not doing that throughout the year eitherway. Doesn't need to be on that specific day also. Doesn't even needs to be on your property. Chose a fruit tree, or anything indigenous, and just plant it. Thats all. Lets make our surroundings just a little more greener and fuller of life.
Plants planted in autumn will be allowed to gently settle their root systems, theres a lot of rain and milder temps too, so it will have time to prepare itself for harsh summer ahead.
Now, everybody that follows through, send me a picture of your little tree that you planted. Doesn't matter how big it is, can be a 10cm little sprout, or a waist high tree. I dont care how many pictures I receive. If there will be only 3, or thousands.. send the picture to @Slavicwolf until sept. 30
Do something good for yourself and for your Tribe.
On Vikings (1)

The picture of the Vikings drawn today is of course dominated by their sworn enemies the Christians and their priests: barbaric, aggressive raiders, who plunder and rape.

These accusations are of course heavily distorted in disadvantage of the European people.

What if I tell you that the Vikings were some kind of navy forces of the Teutons, who were pushed too far by the Christian intruders?

Their first recorded raid on a monastery was done in 793 on Lindisfarne/England, many years after big parts of Europe succumbed to the aggressors. The Vikings targeted monasteries before all other targets, as they were valuable economic targets, which destruction lead to significant losses to the enemy.

The tales of rape is most likely also just Christian lies: many noble European women were tricked into monastery service, in order to gain influence for their families. There their blood was not available to the European people anymore. The Vikings took them home.
