A tale well told

Just finished reading “Mother Hulda” from Grimm’s fairytales to my children, and if there was a wiser way to spend my time this year, I don’t know what it is.

What a wonderful family experience we had in hearing about a beloved Germanic
goddess, and the kids had so many questions to ask after the book was closed.

The power of a well told tale should not be underestimated, undervalued or lost to the onward march of time.

Storytelling is one of the most ancient art forms, yet it is still a vital part of our everyday lives and many of our people think that the gift of storytelling belongs only to writers, shamans, and the elderly, but in truth, we are all storytellers
from cradle to grave.

Our stories sustain us, they enliven us, connect us to our gods and our people through the lore, both folk and myth.

“Stories have to be told or they die, and when they die, we can’t remember who we are or why we’re here.”
- Sue Monk Kidd

What does this tell you about western governments?
The government can easily pick off these smaller companies and businesses if they will all be dealing with the government individually, but if they ban together they can win against the government. There is power in unity. Small businesses who are fighting the government tyranny, current situation or any other time must unite in their fight. The more the better. If they unite they have a much better chance at beating this. When they stand alone in their fight it’s very easy for the massive, corrupt government to crush them, but when they start uniting, they will gain more and more public exposure, which leads to public support and possibly support of volunteered services by attorneys and such, media exposure, etc… And as more & more small businesses join their army across the entire USA, it will become an organization. It won’t take long for news of this to spread across the world, and people in other countries will start doing the same

I don’t promote war unless it’s defensive, but I did notice that you don’t usually hear anything about the history of old Slavic tribes. So here’s a little on Slavic history

•Daurentius•

Daurentius was a South Slavic chieftain.Daurentius is the first Slavic chieftain to be recorded by name, by the Byzantine historian Menander Protector, who reported that the Avar Khagan Bayan I sent an embassy, asking Daurentius and his Slavs to accept Avar suzerainty and pay tribute, because the Avars knew that the Slavs had amassed great wealth after repeatedly plundering the Byzantine Balkan provinces. Daurentius reportedly retorted that "Others do not conquer our land, we conquer theirs so it shall always be for us",and had the envoys slain. Bayan then campaigned (in 578) against Daurentius' people, with aid from the Byzantines, and set fire to many of their settlements, although this did not stop the Slavic raids deep into the Byzantine Empire.
II’m not someone who agrees with the old style of raids by Vikings, Slavs, and other indigenous Europeans tribes because I believe in working hard to build something great of your own, rather than going to slaughter others and take from them what they built for themselves, but hey, that’s just how things were done back then. I believe those old time invasions, raids were more about claiming territory than it was about plundering

•SLAVIC RAIDS•

🛡🪓In 577 some 100,000 Slavs poured into Thrace and Illyricum, pillaging cities and settling down. By the 580s, as the Slav communities on the Danube became larger and more organised, and as the Avars exerted their influence, raids became larger and resulted in permanent settlement. In 586 AD, as many as 100,000 Slav warriors raided Thessaloniki. By 581, many Slavic tribes had settled the land around Thessaloniki, creating a Macedonian Sclavinia. As John of Ephesus tells us in 581: "the accursed people of the Slavs set out and plundered all of Greece, the regions surrounding Thessalonica, and Thrace, taking many towns and castles, laying waste, burning, pillaging, and seizing the whole country."

An animistic world view means that you can consider everything, trees, plants, stones, rivers and lakes as animated and alive. As a result, everything in nature is approached with respect.

This worldview was very obvious for our ancestors. They lived along seas and in vast forests, sharing the land with countless natural beings. For us Europeans, this worldview still exists. It is important to have a good relationship with natural beings, because they have a major influence on fertility and your environment.
