Our Yorkshire Farm with Amanda and Clive Owen the hill shepherds living on one of the most remote farms in England is probably the most wholesome program on British TV. Big Media probably cancelled it because its opens too many eyes to the joys of self-sufficiency and rural life.

•NOCNITSA•

Nocnitsa or “Night Hag” is a nightmare spirit in Slavic mythology who also goes by the name Krisky or Plaksy. She is known to torment children at night, giving them nightmares or causing sleep paralysis. A stone with a hole in the center is said to be a protection from her.
Mothers in some regions will place a knife in their children’s cradles or draw a circle around the cradles with a knife for protection. This is possibly based on the belief that supernatural beings cannot touch iron. The Nocnitsa is known to sit on one's chest, drawing "life energy". Because of this, many refer to Nocnitsa as a type of vampire. The Nocnitsa will often continue visiting. According to some folklore, night hags visit when one sleeps on one's back, with the hands on the chest (a position allegedly called "sleeping with the dead"). According to some folklore, night hags are made of shadow. She might also have a horrible screeching voice. She might allegedly also smell of the moss and dirt from her forest of origin.
Gallaecian culture

Scenery in Mata da Albergaria Northern Portugal.

Local folktales tell us of magical creatures that inhabit these remote forests. The most common are Mouras, beautiful women often appearing singing and combing their beautiful long hair, golden as gold or black as the night with a golden comb, and promise to give treasures to whom sets them free by breaking their spell. They are guardians of Dolmens.
The "Olhapins" and "Trasgos" are also part of local folklore. They are mischievous goblins who trick you into getting lost in the forest and play tricks on you.

Mokosh is a prominent goddess of the Slavs. She is the protectress of pregnant woman, and domestic work. She is also considered an earth goddess, talented magic user, and traveler. While often paired with Perun, she has far more in common with Veles. Finding her home in moist areas such as swamps, using magical spells, wandering around helping people, while Veles is king of the Underworld, Mokosh is said to govern fate alongside Dolya and Nedolya at the tree of life. This scratches the surface for this important Slavic deity.-TLK
Lloréu (Laurus Nobilis)

Sacred tree of the Astures.

Also called lloreo, llorín or choriu depending where in Asturias and Leon. It symbolizes glory and victory.
In the Middle Ages, poets and artists were crowned with laurels. The bouquets of lloreu were also used to blessed and protect houses, crops and animals.
Hades abducting Persephone, a mural from the Macedonian royal tomb at Vergina, 4th c. BC

Persephone was the daughter of Demeter & Zeus. Persephone was picking flowers when Hades saw her. He was so captivated by her that he abducted her to the underworld. When Demeter realized Persephone was abducted she protested by stopping her work with the crops. Zeus tried to convince her to lift her curse on the land but she wouldn't until Persephone was released. Zeus sent Hermes to Hades urging him to release Persephone. Before releasing her he had her eat seeds of the pomegranate. Because she ate fruit from the underworld she was now tied to the underworld & to Hades. Zeus was forced to make a compromise between Demeter and Hades. He arranged a plan for Persephone to spend 4 months with Hades as his queen one for every seed she had eaten. The other 8 months she would return to Demeter. This myth was used by the Greeks to explain the cycle of fertility in nature.

In Paganism there are several spheres. Within our people there are three core ones The Masculine, the Feminine, and the child. These three intersect at family and community gatherings which can be seen symbolized in the Triquetra the European balance symbol. However, this is important for another reason and that is that the paganism of women and the paganism of men is distinct. Entire deities such as Dionysus had predominantly female followers as did other deities, The Morrigan had predominantly male followers despite her modern "goth goddess" status. The customs of each are also subdivided, certain things were only taught man to young man, or woman to young woman. Songs, customs, skills, stories, celebrations, things only a man OR a woman would know but not the other. This is important to know as we remember our old ways. I as a man am not going to do paganism the same way as a woman, and vice versa. Whether it is spinning songs or Hunting rituals. However as a whole it is still us.-TLK

I wish to add that very often westerners confuse the three spheres with Christian values, as in it has originated with Christianity/Abrahamism. The truth is these family core values existed long before Abrahamism/Christianity took over the indigenous pagan Europeans, and Slavic tribes, and kingdoms. Christianity simply incorporated these values into itself and tried to pass them off as theirs, and deliberately misrepresent the pagans as sinful, barbaric, primitive, bloodthirsty, sexual perverts who have sex orgies all day and sacrifice their fellow humans to the evil pagan gods. I’m not here to come between people and their personal faith, I’m just pointing out actual facts of what took place

Skaði – the goddess and Eoten associated with hunting and skiing – the winter months and snow-capped mountains. She wasn't worshipped by the English folk but her name does cognate with the English word Scathe, as Skaði means 'to hurt or harm'. Her name also is cognate with the area of southern Sweden (once it's own nation) called Scania, also known by its native name of Skåne, which is believed to be derived from the Germanic *Skaðan - meaning danger or damage (this being the same root as Skaði).

Today I learned: craft beer and farmers markets are either too white, or Nazi breeding grounds, that idealise pastoral Life against degenerate urban living.

Here is how the system guilt trips people into loving their servitude.

"Organic home grown food? Small batch brewed beer? Homemade gifts? Owning your own land. What's wrong with mass factory production from your soy-pod? What are you, some kind of NAZI?"

SLAVA RODU!
She says something important here, something that I understood years ago, that modern-day unban society is full of sick, overweight, depressed people become they are disconnected from their biological nature. Years back I saw one of the major problems that modern humans are experiencing, and it’s the disconnect from the natural environment. Humans are nature, humans are organic earth, because we are part of the organic biological life of earth, and modern urban existence separates us from our own nature. We live as aliens on this planet shielded from nature in our artificial environments we call urban cities. Urban cities remind me of factory farms, urban cities are like factory farms for domesticated human cattle. We spray all of the germs and bacteria away with disinfection sprays, we call pest control to spray our entire house and keep out all of the wildlife and bugs from our house & yard, we use weed killers to destroy any wild weeds. We only leave artificially raised, store-bought grass, and store-bought plants. We don’t have connection to our local organic environment and ecosystem like our indigenous ancestors had. They were very in-tuned with their local wild environment and ecosystem. They were aligned with the natural cycles.
