If you replace the word “witch” with “practitioner of old ways” it will become clear that what went on back then was no “witch trials” but a genocide of people who were still holding on to the old ways. The church was the one to come up with this name witch in order to make their horrific crimes against humanity justifiable. Studying the subject of witch trials is disturbing, because you learn the gruesome details of how tens, or even hundreds of thousands of women, men, and children were severely sadistically tortured in order to get them to confess to things they were not guilty of, and then executed in the most cruel way. I remember reading somewhere a few years back that the priests were pouring melted metal into the throats of women men and children. During Spanish Inquisitions people were dipped slowly into large pots/baths full of boiling water, or oil. Several times I’ve posted information on examples of various torture machines and tools that were used by the church on innocent people. Unless you are some sort of sadist, I don’t believe you could even imagine some of the torture methods of the church. There was a tool that was used to literally rip/tear off women’s breasts. This is the church and she cannot hide from it. I don’t care if they made it more humane these days, the church cannot hide from her sadistic dark history her bloody foundation. She will not deny millions upon millions of people that she tortured and murdered around the world.

I don’t believe that the church authorities and monarchs of the time actually believed that those were witches serving Satan. I think that’s what they claimed in order to justify their horrific crimes against tens of thousands of innocent women, men, and children. I think that they were simply eliminating all those who were still holding on to the old ways, the pagans. I think they deliberately came up with the name witch, but in reality it was just practitioners of the old ways/paganism. The church and Christian monarchs simply wanted to get rid of any remaining loyalists of the old ways and force ALL in the land to finally do away with the old ways, and accept Judeo Christianity.
Nehallenia, the Dutch Goddess of the North Sea has been increasingly rediscovered in recent years. Martijn tells his interesting view on this goddess in this video. Because rivers are inextricably connected to the sea. All rivers in the Netherlands flow into the North Sea. So, is Lady Nehallenia also a river goddess? And isn't water connected with every living being and therefore also with you? Listen more : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHB4RR-mNO0

“This morning, one of our companie looking over boord saw a Mermaid, and calling up some of the companie to see her, one more came up, and by that time she was come close to the ship’s side, looking earnestly on the men: a little after, a Sea came and overturned her: From the Navill upward, her backe and breasts were like a womans (as they say that saw her) her body as big as one of us; her skin very white; and long haire hanging down behinde, of colour blacke; in her going downe they saw her tayle, which was like the tayle of a porposse, and speckled like a Macrell. Their names that saw her were Thomas Hilles and Robert Raynar.”
