We’ve all been brought up to believe that humanity’s transition from the oral tradition to the written system was a sign of human evolution and progression. We’ve all been taught about our illiterate, barbaric ancestors who lived a primitive existence, until Abrahamic cult civilized them, brought order, and taught them how to read and write. Is this really the truth? Was this transition really something positive, something that enlightened our ancestors, elevated their consciousness, and made them more free? Or was this written word system the birth of dogma? I learned over the years that those in power do things for their own benefit, and not for the benefit of the common folk, and that all that they do appears to us backwards, upside down. What we believe is good in reality is evil. What we believe is up in reality is down. So was the written system really human evolution from a primitive way of communicating, or was this written system just a tool in the hands of our overlords, just like Abrahamism?
The way I see it, the transition from oral tradition to the written system was a deliberate step to take the control over the knowledge and the history away from the common people, and place it under the strict control of just a few selected historians and other representatives of academic branches of knowledge.
Original early knowledge/history was transmitted orally. Indigenous cultures passed their knowledge/history through songs, folktales, folk art, ballads, etc...
I personally believe that Judeo-Christian, or any Abrahamic religions are not as ancient as we’ve been told
Wikipedia source says according to Steve Reece, the earliest Greek literature was completely oral
The legendary Finnish storyteller Väinämöinen with his kantele.

I don’t need to go to official sources and list all indigenous cultures to show that everyone pretty much had oral tradition prior to the change.
To me the transition from oral tradition to the written word, is like taking something infinite and making it finite. I am sure that this transition was forced
