The figure in a pointy hat is J.R.R. Tolkien’s Gandalf. The other winged figure is Carl Jung’s Philemon.

Most people are not aware that there’s a synchronicity between Tolkien’s Redbook that’s called “The Redbook of Westmarch” & Jung’s red book called “The Red Book Liber Novus.”

This is just one of the parallels out of many others. Gandalf is the old wizard from Tolkien’s LOTR Trilogy & Hobbit. Philemon is an old wise man from Carl Jung’s dream/vision. He was very significant character/person/being throughout Jung’s Redbook.

Both Tolkien & Jung said that they didn’t imagine or invent these characters, they have discovered them. I would say both men channeled this information through them.

Tolkien’s discovery would come in through deep imagination. For Jung it was through deep psychology.

Tolkien’s faerie realm was Jung’s deep, collective unconscious. Both Philemon & Gandalf were wise old men who provided guidance, and taught magic

Well, Vrouw Holle (as we call her in Holland) is a very important deity for Dutch heathenism/paganism. England is related to the deity Ing, Austria to Ostara, Frisia to Freya and Holland to Holle. Even if this might not be historically correct it still makes sense. Dirkje and me experience Vrouw Holle as a very liminal goddess. She is not just related to the Underworld but also to the inbetween realms. And isn't Holland a liminal country? Located for nearly 50% beneath sea level, squeezed between the Northsea (Nehalennia's realm) and the Northern German flatlands. I agree 100%. I’ve always been against dog crating. My sister use to do this to her Beagle, and each time I’d visit my sister’s house, we’d get into an argument over it, and I’d force her to let her dog out of the crate. My sister told me I’m paying too much attention to these things, and I shouldn’t do this, because they are just dogs they are not human beings. I never saw it that way. I never see my dog as “just a dog” I never see my dogs as being lower than humans, or inferior to humans. Sure it’s true that dogs don’t have the same needs as humans, but being locked up in a prison cells isn’t good for any living being. Most people who crate their dogs usually leave them in a cage 5 days a week for up to 10 hours a day while they’re at work. On the weekends people like to go shop, and go to restaurants, and once again the dogs go in the cage for hours. What kind of existence is this for a dog?

It is crucially important to familiarize yourself with all the reasons "crate training" dogs is a result of the modern world severing us from common emotional intelligence and eroding our capacity for empathetic understanding of animals. It goes hand in hand with the exponential growth of shallow materialist mindset of millennial narcissists and career driven yuppies who want to have their cake and eat it too, have a dog when nobody is home and care more about their expensive designer furniture than the living creatures they've chosen to bring into their home. Nobody should call themselves a pagan if they put their own convenience over the emotional well-being of their own animals.
