Nehalennia is the Goddess of the Northsea and the rivers that flow into the Northsea. Therefore Nehalennia is a very important deity in Dutch heathenism/paganism. Nehalennia brings protection, joy and prosperity. Her energy is young and playful altough she is an ancient goddess. This morning i visited Her at the river Nieuwe Maas and made an offering to Her. That reminded me of a video Dirkje made about Nehalennia. In this video Dirkje reads a beautiful poem she wrote for our Goddess of the Northsea and talks about Nehalennia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPO7DLJEpRI

You are so welcome! We need to support one another, and help to spread awareness. We don’t all have to agree on every little thing. That’s not the point. The point is to come together to try to preserve what is left of indigenous Europeans. We all come from different indigenous European cultures, but we are all part of the European/Aryan family tree. We are Slavic folk, Nordic folk, Celtic folk, Finnish folk, Iberian folk, Greek folk, etc.. there are some clear differences that separate us, but at the same time, there are many similarities that unite us

I never liked zoos. I understand that some zoos are much better than others, but even the nicest zoo is a prison cell for the animals housed within its walls. I’m not one of those extreme animal activists, I would never tell others what they should think, do or not do, but, personally, I can not support any place that uses animals as slaves to exploit for money. Here where I live in Florida we have a really nice zoo, with great care for the animals, and the animals get a decent amount of space, but each time I use to visit, the animals just looked depressed, many of them are just laying there looking miserable. And as years went on, and I started to become more empathetic towards all animals, I began to learn about the cruel torture animals go through in science labs, and about the horrors that take place in factory farms, industrial slaughter houses, which led me to changing my diet, lifestyle, and my entire view of animals, I stopped visiting my local zoo. Some people tell me that the animals are better off in the zoo than they are out there in the wild, because of poachers but, there has to be a better answer to the poacher issue. Besides, only some zoos around the world have the resources, and the dedicated animal loving employees to make it a decent life for the animals. Some of these poor countries treat their zoo animals like trash. Their zoo animals are better off getting shot by a poacher, than to live in their horrible zoos, because at least getting shot by a poacher is a quick and easy death, compared to being housed in one of those zoos in poor countries, which is like a slow painful death. Starvation most of the times, and in other cases they just don’t have the resources like medical help for the animals.

Winter is often personified as an old man. In Icelandic and Nordic myth – this was the giant Þorri (Thorri) who was the son of the Snær (English 'Snow') – himself the son of Frosti (Frost). They all descended from the Eoten Fornjót, whom the English called Fornete. Þorri is still remembered in the Icelandic winter festival of Þorrablót.

In Belgium some trees that are shaped in an extraordinary or ghastly way are believed to be heksenbomen or witches' trees.
It's thought that a witch died on the spot where the tree now stands or that a witch was buried there.
