A Byzantine key, 5th century (Late Antique), bronze.
This type of key, commonly used during the Byzantine period, could be easily carried, an important feature at a time when clothes had no pockets. The hoop of the key fits like a finger ring, and the short barrel can be folded into the palm of the hand. Unlike the teeth on modern keys, the slotted holes on this example are purely decorative, while the small crosses were intended to protect the owner's possessions.

Temple of Artemis, Brauron, Attica, Greece.
The temple of Artemis at Vravrona is a Doric temple built in the first half of 5th century BC at the site of an older temple (6th c. BC) destroyed by the Persians and it was the center of worship at the sanctuary. The cult statue of the goddess stood in the cella of the temple and a festival every four year the Brauronia was held in honour of the goddess. The possession of worshippers started from the sanctuary of Artemis Brauronia on Acropolis of Athens and arrived at the sanctuary of Brauron.
During the ritual of arkteia, girls from renowned families of Athens stayed in the sanctuary in order to be prepared for marriage and motherhood.

Always good to know if you study old pagan scripts 😀 What is Euhemerism ?
That is proclaiming that pagan deities are just human beings, who are worshiped as deities because of their merits. Caesarius applied this to permanently break the spell of paganism during Christianization.
So, keep in mind that Saxo Grammaticus (1160-1220) and Snorri Sturluson (1179-1241) used euhemerism as a disclaimer in their introductions, to avoid being accused by church authorities of spreading pagan propaganda.

Before the Tribe of the Fox started our YT channel and TG channel there was, and stil is🙂, a website in the Dutch lanquage. Dirkje, Thorwald Eklund and me wrote a lot of articles about the ancestors, naturespirits and deities. We write from our hearts, because we love the pagan spirituality from pre-christian Northwest-Europe❤️. https://stamvandevos.nl/

Tweed is an icon of traditional British Isles clothing, being desirable for informal outerwear, due to the material being moisture-resistant and durable. Tweeds are made to withstand harsh climates and are commonly worn for outdoor activities such as shooting and hunting. In Ireland, tweed manufacturing is now most associated with County Donegal but originally covered the whole country. In Scotland, tweed manufacturing is most associated with the Isle Of Harris in the Hebrides. The name “tweed” developed in the mid 19th century: originally a misreading of tweel, the Scots form of twill, and ultimately named for the Tweed River in Scotland, which has murky origins but is suspected to be an Old Brythonic word for “border” given that the river is in the Scottish Borders region.

Today, the ten most common Welsh surnames, in order, are: Jones, Williams, Davies, Thomas, Evans, Roberts, Hughes, Lewis, Morgan, and Griffiths. Fifty-five percent of the Welsh population has one of these 10 surnames. The limited range of Welsh surnames is due in large part to the ancient Welsh patronymic naming system, whereby a child took on the father's given name as a surname, and fixed surnames were not adopted until the 15th century and onwards.

It’s really quite a shame that not many people think to consider fairytales part of our lore and mythic tradition. Because they miss out on the valuable messages and wisdom that’s there for us. I’m here to tell you that fairytales are real and they are just as much a part of our mythology and hero’s journey as anything else. They are tales as old as time and layered with so much symbolism and archetypes embedded within our psyche. The Brother’s Grimm believed they were worth saving and kept them from being forgotten. Don’t discount them because their preservation isn’t ancient like the Eddas and sagas. It is recorded that even in 17th century Germany the common folk were barely Christian at all and still kept their old customs. The Church and academia would have you believe that our faith completely died off a thousand years ago at the end of the Viking age and they want you to think our myths aren’t real or spiritual so that we will join their one-world ideology. But I say to hell with them, because we have our own path.
