Azerbaijan continues to escalate tensions with Iran.

According to a statement made by Azerbaijani parliament member Bahruz Makherramov, "Unlike Iran, Azerbaijan has not cooperated with terrorist organizations and occupiers.

Tehran, which allocates 20-30 billion dollars annually for terrorist plans, has neither the right nor the moral authority to lead us."

It's worth remembering that Azerbaijan enlisted Syrian militants during the 44-day war, as confirmed by both French President Emmanuel Macron and Sergey Naryshkin, the Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation.

On April 6, 1869, Levon Shant, a prominent Armenian writer, playwright, pedagogue, and public figure, was born in Constantinople.

Shant's work is distinguished by drama, which is one of the unique values of Armenian literature. His historical dramas, especially "The Ancient Gods" and "The Emperor," are among the most vivid manifestations of symbolism in the history of Armenian literature and theatre.

In 1909, Shant's drama "The Ancient Gods" was published, becoming the most precious jewel of the Armenian stage. Together with Tumanyan, Isahakyan, Aghayan, and Demirchyan, he founded the "Vernatun" literary group in Tiflis.

As a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, Levon Shant was a deputy in the parliament of the first republic and held the position of vice president of the Council of Armenia. It was Levon Shant who signed the law recognizing Armenian as the state language on December 26, 1919.

On March 29, 2023, Azerbaijan closed the former route of the Berdzor corridor and fully activated the western section of the new route (passing through the villages of Kornidzor and Tegh), taking control of the "Greater and Lesser Syuniks" monument on the border of Syunik and Artsakh in the Syunik region.

The monument was constructed in 2004 by architect Sevada Zakaryan at the initiative of former Syunik governor Suren Khachatryan and financed by Maxim Hakobyan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine

In 2007, a khachkar was added next to the monument to signify the entrance to the Republic of Artsakh. The monument's architect had previously expressed concerns to the "Syuniats Yerkir" newspaper, stating that fully dismantling and transferring the monument to Syunik was impossible as the stones would become unusable, rendering restoration impossible.

China has imposed sanctions on two American entities for hosting the recent visit of Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen to the United States, which Beijing strongly opposed.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared on Friday that the Hudson Institute, a think tank based in Washington, and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California, would be prohibited from cooperating, exchanging, or conducting any transactions with individuals and organizations in China.

It should be noted that Michael Doran, a senior fellow and director of the Center for Peace and Security in the Middle East at Hudson Institute, and Luke Coffey, a senior fellow at Hudson Institute, are deniers of the Armenian Genocide and open Armenophobes.
