On March 29, 2023, Azerbaijan closed the former route of the Berdzor corridor and fully activated the western section of the new route (passing through the villages of Kornidzor and Tegh), taking control of the "Greater and Lesser Syuniks" monument on the border of Syunik and Artsakh in the Syunik region.

The monument was constructed in 2004 by architect Sevada Zakaryan at the initiative of former Syunik governor Suren Khachatryan and financed by Maxim Hakobyan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine

In 2007, a khachkar was added next to the monument to signify the entrance to the Republic of Artsakh. The monument's architect had previously expressed concerns to the "Syuniats Yerkir" newspaper, stating that fully dismantling and transferring the monument to Syunik was impossible as the stones would become unusable, rendering restoration impossible.

Azerbaijani telegram channels are already warning of the monument's imminent destruction

China has imposed sanctions on two American entities for hosting the recent visit of Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen to the United States, which Beijing strongly opposed.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared on Friday that the Hudson Institute, a think tank based in Washington, and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California, would be prohibited from cooperating, exchanging, or conducting any transactions with individuals and organizations in China.

It should be noted that Michael Doran, a senior fellow and director of the Center for Peace and Security in the Middle East at Hudson Institute, and Luke Coffey, a senior fellow at Hudson Institute, are deniers of the Armenian Genocide and open Armenophobes.

Armenia and Artsakh are celebrating Holy Easter today, April 9th. This is one of the five major holidays of the Armenian Apostolic Church, dedicated to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Holy Easter falls on the first Sunday after the spring full moon, which is between March 21 and April 25. As part of the celebrations, believers traditionally paint eggs, which symbolize new life and resurrection. The color red, representing the blood of Jesus shed for mankind's salvation, is also significant.

Unfortunately, this year's Easter in Artsakh is being celebrated under blockade. Since December 12, 2022, the Berdzor Corridor, also known as the Road of Life connecting Artsakh with Armenia, has been blocked by Azerbaijan. As a result, residents of Artsakh have been facing severe shortages of basic necessities, including food, medicine, power, and gas, as well as other problems caused by the blockade, for approximately three months.
