First Future currently hiring native and non-native English-speaking teachers who speak at a native level. A bachelor degree (in any discipline) is required, they want teachers who have one year of experience and/or a TEFL certificate. Non-natives must have passed the IELTS or TOEFL exam. The recruitment process is a 15-minute interview and a 30 minutes mock class, there is no training required. They offer a fixed schedule with 100% booking rate so you are guaranteed to be paid for that time. They pay non-natives less per hour but it could be as much as $12 USD and native English speakers could earn $15 – $20 with bonuses.

Learntalk is based in Manila. They provide language training to individuals, corporations, institutions and other language schools around the world. They are currently focused on students in Latin America. Teachers can work as much or as little as they like. Learntalk does hire non-native speakers. They have 3 different teacher categories: Language Tutors, Experienced Instructors, and Professional Teachers. Language tutors get paid $4-5 USD per hour (C1 level needed), Experienced tutors will make $8-10 USD per hour (C2 level needed and two years of teaching experience), and Professional Teachers can make $15 USD per hour (with a CELTA/TESL certificate, C2 level and 4 years’ experience).

NiceTalk is an app that allows Chinese students to reach English speakers. Students choose you based on your rating. They prefer native speaking teachers with a TEFL certificate and experience teaching TOEFL and IELTS tests. Nicetalk pays $10 an hour with a $10 bonus for signing up. They also have a referral bonus system.

Tutoring wants teachers with a university degree (or enrolled) with 2 years of teaching experience. They teach Korean children and adults. They have an app that students use to learn and take classes from anywhere. They also accept non-native teachers as there are many Filipino teachers working with the company. They make $200 PHP or $4 USD per hour with Paypal. They pay 3 times per month.

Eigooo is an interesting new company offering “chat type English learning” service. They use an app that allows students to basically text and chat with teachers. It is unknown how much they pay.

Bizmates is based in the Philippines but they teach business English to Japanese students. Non-native speakers welcome, it looks like they aren’t very strict when it comes to requirements. Bizmates pays $3 – $4.60 per hour (140 – 220 PHP) up to $1200 per month.

Engoo is based in the Philippines and is hiring. Bibo salary: Bibo pays $6 an hour ($1.40 – US$3 per 25 min lesson). Their website says you can earn up to $1500 per month.

Tutorfair is based in London and they teach English, Spanish, German, French, Latin, math and science. They are currently looking for online English teachers. It is a create-a-profile type company so teachers can set their own hourly rate.

AmazingTalker is a Chinese company that lets you set your own rate. You don’t have to be a native speaker, but non- native speakers have to have an English degree. Their teachers offer classes in 46 different languages, including Spanish, Italian, French and German. Most classes are in English and there are many exam preparation classes being offered. Classes are either 25 or 50 minutes.

LinguaTV is a German company. They provide 1 on 1 and small group classes to adults. Non-natives with a C1 English level are welcome to apply, but teachers need a bachelor degree, TEFL certificate and 1 year of teaching experience. I am not sure how much they pay yet.

Speexx is based in Germany and they are looking for native speaking teachers (or non-native teachers with a C2 level) with experience teach online business English. Their students are mostly business professionals looking to improve all aspects of their English, meaning they have many activities that focus on writing. (They also teach other languages). They pay €10 per 30-minute class as well as €2.15 for written corrections with their writing activities. Training is also paid and teachers should be able to devote around 20 hours per week to the company.

Fluentify is based in Italy and Britain and they specialize in teaching business English. They want teachers with a TEFL certificate, two years of teaching experience and online teaching experience. They provide some material, but you can also use your own teaching materials. They pay up to 11 EUROS per 30-minute class.
