Visiting Deputy Minister Calls on AAU to Join Russian-African University Network

Russian Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, Konstantin Mogilevsky, visited Addis Ababa University, and conferred with President Dr Samuel Kifle. The two sides held deliberations on strategic areas for cooperation that included technology, health, space science, mining and energy.

During the discussions, the Russian minister extended an invitation to AAU to join the Russian- African University network.

The network is a Russian initiative that brings together Russian and African universities as development partners engaged in educational and scientific cooperation as well as joint infrastructural projects.

Joint MA/PhD programs, academic mobility ventures, intercultural dialogue, as well as joint research and consulting are some of the areas of cooperation between Russian and African universities forming the consortium.

The network boasts 61 Russian universities and 31 higher education institutions from 11 African countries.

በዩኒቨርስቲያችን ውስጥ እዉቅና አግኝተው በንቃት ከሚንቀሳቀሱ ክለባት መካከል ግንባር ቀደም የሆኑት ንቃት የክርክር ክለብ እና በጎ ሰው ክለብ ከአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የቢዝነስና ኢኮኖሚክስ ኮሌጅ የተማሪዎች መማክርት ጋር በጋራ በመተባበር በአይነቱ ልዩ የሆነ የግቢያችን የጽዳት መርሃ ግብር "አብረን እናገልግል፡ የግቢያችንን ንጽህና እንጠብቅ!" በሚል መሪ ቃል ቅዳሜ ጥቅምት 30/ 02/ 2017 ዓ ም በቢ.ኢ.ኮ ቅጥር ግቢ ዉስጥ አዘጋጅተናል። ስለሆነም ሁሉም የዩኒቨርስቲያችን ማህበረሰብ በተለይም እንቁ ተማሪዎቻችን በእለቱ ከጠዋቱ 3፡00 – 5:30 በግቢያችን በመገኘት ይህንን የበጎ ፈቃድ አገልግሎት ሚና ትጫዎቱ ዘንድ እንጋብዛለን።

በዚህ እና በሌሎች ወደፊት በሚኖሩን መርሃ ግብሮች ላይ ቢያንስ 3 ጊዜ በንቃት መንቀሳቀስ ለቻለ ተማሪ በሩብ አመት  አፈጻጸም ላይ በሚኖረን ልየታ የእዉቅና የምስክር ወረቀት የምንሰጥ መሆኑን ከወዲሁ ለመግለጽ እንወዳለን።

Special volunteer service dedicated to the entire students and community of Addis Ababa University

NEKAT debating club and Begosew Club, which are among the most recognized and active clubs in our university, partnered together with College of Business and Economics students council have been preparing to create a unique, clean-up program of our campus, with "Together we Serve: Keep Our campus clean!" Motto on Saturday 30 October 02/2017 E.C at CBE.  Hence, we invite all of our university students and community, to play this volunteer service role by attending our campus at 3:00 am – 5:30 am that day.

We already wish to state that we are going to issue a certificate of recognition to a student who has been able to actively move at least 3 times on this and other future programs.

Online Registration Procedure for First-Year Graduate Students (Regular and Extension)

Dates of Registration: November 8, 2024 for Regular Students
November 9 and 10, 2024 for Extension Students

First Semester classes begin: on November 11, 2024

Both regular and extension first-year students should complete their registration process as steps indicated from 1-8.
Step 1. Check your admission status on the portal and get your ID. No.
Step 2. Begin by logging into the https://portal.aau.edu.et with your Username (ID No.) and password.
Step 3. Click on Registration ------> Check your courses, Tuition fees, and registration fee (300 Birr + tuition fees for self-sponsored regular and extension students).
Step 4. Complete your Registration fee and Tuition fee (Self-sponsored regular and extension students) using Tele Birr.
Step 5. Update your profile (Birth Date, email address, Phone No., Photograph…)! and Click Here >>>
Step 6. Select Courses ------> Click on Submit. You will receive a confirmation notice immediately.
Step 7. Click on Logout to close the application.

Once you have completed your registration, you should contact your college registrar's office.
