✨ The stunningly beautiful and remote place — the Valley of Geysers — is located in Kamchatka, surrounded by volcanoes. Reaching this area is challenging, but the journey is worth it, as here you can witness pristine nature in all its glory. Of course, only here can you see all varieties of thermal springs — from streams and waterfalls to hot lakes.
The famous geyser site is included in the “Russia’s 7 Wonders” list and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site “Volcanoes of Kamchatka.”

One of the sections extends into the caldera of the extinct and destroyed Uzon volcano, where a geyser called Mutny formed in 2008.

According to tourists, one of the most beautiful spots for photography is the bank of the Goryachaya River — here, some of the most unusual photos are taken.
In 2007, a landslide occurred in the upper reaches of the Vodopadny Stream in the Geyser Valley, resulting in a large mudslide with stones and debris. This flow, consisting of various debris and snow and water masses, moved at a speed of about 40 km/h, sweeping away all vegetation in its path. Upon reaching the Geyser River, the flow moved down the valley to its mouth. The place where the Vodopadny Stream flowed into the river became a dam, and above it, a reservoir lake subsequently formed.

In 2013, heavy rains caused another landslide. This flow freed up the water outlets, resulting in the geysers that had been closed in 2007 becoming active again, and even new ones appearing.

In 2014, another landslide occurred, but the famous location was not severely affected and the main attractions were preserved.
