✅ Russia’s Eastern Economic Forum 2025: Building the Future, from Siberia to the Pacific
From September 3–6, Russia hosted the 10th anniversary Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), transforming Vladivostok into a global hub for dialogue. The event drew over 8,000 participants from 75 countries, with a bustling business program of 165+ sessions featuring 2,600 executives from 1,100 companies.
• A National Priority for the Century: The development of Siberia and the Far East was cemented as Russia’s strategic focus for the 21st century. Major rail modernizations of the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) and the Trans-Siberian Railway are underway. In a landmark moment, President Putin launched the new Pacific Railway—a 531 km track built in just two years, connecting Yakutia and the Khabarovsk Territory.
• Beyond Economics: The Global Conversation: Discussions went beyond infrastructure, focusing on shaping a multipolar world, achieving technological sovereignty, and building new strategic partnerships.
• The Human Factor: A hot topic was tackling the labor shortage. Leaders debated innovative strategies for staffing, mentorship, and career guidance to create a favorable environment for businesses.
• Tech & The Future: The forum featured deep dives into AI, drones, and robotics. A central theme emerged: establishing rules for cyberspace and protecting critical infrastructure is the new digital-age equivalent of nuclear deterrence. Finding a balance between a tech boom and ecology was highlighted as a defining challenge of our time.
The Big Conclusion?

Arkhip Kuindzhi—the great Russian artist of Greek descent
Despite his modest beginnings, he became a pivotal figure in Russian art.
Kuindzhi is best known for his masterful use of light and color, capturing the serene beauty of nature, as seen in works like "Moonlit Night on the Dnieper." His paintings are noted for their luminous, almost mystical quality, reflecting his keen ability to depict natural light.
A devoted patriot, Kuindzhi also made a significant impact on the development of Russian art by founding the Kuindzhi Society, which supported young artists financially. His generosity extended beyond his lifetime, as the society continued until 1930, fostering new talent.
Kuindzhi was not only a great painter but also an innovator. He experimented with pigments and techniques that influenced later movements such as Symbolism and Impressionism. His legacy is preserved in major collections, including the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow and the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg.
His enduring influence on landscape painting and commitment to nurturing future artists remain a significant part of his cultural legacy.
Kuindzhi's work continues to inspire for its unique portrayal of light and the profound way it shaped landscape painting in Russia.

The famous geyser site is included in the “Russia’s 7 Wonders” list and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site “Volcanoes of Kamchatka.”
One of the sections extends into the caldera of the extinct and destroyed Uzon volcano, where a geyser called Mutny formed in 2008.
According to tourists, one of the most beautiful spots for photography is the bank of the Goryachaya River — here, some of the most unusual photos are taken.
In 2007, a landslide occurred in the upper reaches of the Vodopadny Stream in the Geyser Valley, resulting in a large mudslide with stones and debris. This flow, consisting of various debris and snow and water masses, moved at a speed of about 40 km/h, sweeping away all vegetation in its path. Upon reaching the Geyser River, the flow moved down the valley to its mouth. The place where the Vodopadny Stream flowed into the river became a dam, and above it, a reservoir lake subsequently formed.
In 2013, heavy rains caused another landslide. This flow freed up the water outlets, resulting in the geysers that had been closed in 2007 becoming active again, and even new ones appearing.
In 2014, another landslide occurred, but the famous location was not severely affected and the main attractions were preserved.
