Abu Hazim Salamah ibn Dinar (رحمه الله) said:
Siyar A‘lam al-Nubala: 6/99
The person of bad character is the most miserable of people because of it.
His own soul, which resides within him, is the first to suffer at his hands; then his wife, then his child. He may enter his home while they are in a state of happiness, but when they hear his voice, they recoil from him in fear.
Even his riding animal shies away from the stones he throws at it; his dog, on seeing him, leaps onto the wall; and even his cat flees from him.
Siyar A‘lam al-Nubala: 6/99
Allah says in surah al-Isra' [17]:
[وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۙ وَلَا يَزِيدُ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارًا ]
And We send down from the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers, but it only increases the wrongdoers in loss. [82]
Commenting on this, al-Tabari reported:
Qatadah said:
"And We send down from the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers" - when the believer hears it, he benefits from it, memorizes it and stores it away
"but it only increases the wrongdoers" - those who deal with it wrongfully - "in loss" - that they do not benefit from it or memorize it or store it away.
Allah has made this Qur'an a healing and a mercy for the believers.

Don't forget what you promised Allah while you were swaying.💔1
O'Allah, make this heart full of You.
blessed with Your companionship, fluctuating between Your love, mercy, and peace!

Some of you may have entered Ramadan with a heavy heart.
You may have been disconnected from praying, reading Quran and going to the mosque all year so now you feel guilty and ashamed. You may have done things you’re not proud of, made repeated mistakes or lived heedlessly. You are so disheartened that you’re dragging yourself to simply fast and it’s hard for you to even comprehend the excitement others are feeling which leaves you feeling even more inadequate.
It’s ok. You don’t have to be over joyed. You don’t have to compete with others and you don’t have to be perfect. Simply take a small step forward. Simply make your intention to be better than you were yesterday and simply do something- anything that gets you even a little bit closer to Allah.
If you’ve been depleted all year, then this is your time to refuel. If you’ve been heedless, then this is your time to be mindful. If you’ve been disconnected, then this is your time to connect. Don’t allow your thoughts of inadequacy stop you from embracing this sacred month. Allah is the most forgiving and He will always welcome you no matter how far you have transgressed, how many bad deeds you’ve done and how hopeless you feel.
Feel comforted that you simply need to take that first step with the right intention and before you know it, you will soon feel the sweetness of faith.
This is the month of HOPE! Come as you are, do what you can and trust that you can get back on track!

Ramadan has come the farmland for the worshippers,
To purify the hearts from corruption;
So give it its rights in statement and action,
And take your provisions for the return;
He who sows seeds yet does not water them,
Will feel regret on the day of harvest.

The Neglected Sunnah at the time of Iftar
——-
Dua for after iftaar:
ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأَ ، وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوْقُ ، وَثَبَتَ الْأجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ.
The thirst has gone, the veins have been
moistened, and the reward has been
secured, if Allah wills.

O Allāh, grant us a good ending in all our affairs, and protect us from the disgrace of this world and the punishment of the hereafter.
O Allāh, grant us a good ending in all our affairs, and protect us from the disgrace of this world and the punishment of the hereafter.
Allah ﷻ says: "And in the hours before dawn, they seek forgiveness."
Seeking forgiveness is a Sunnah that many people neglect during the pre-dawn time, especially in Ramadan, when many are blessed with wakefulness at that hour.

Sheikh Uthyameen رحمه الله said,
"Indeed it is saddening that some people do not differentiate between the days they fast and the days they eat and drink.
They remain upon their customary prohibited speech. In telling lies, deception and similar actions. They seem not to realise that they should remain calm and quiet.
Such actions does not invalidate fasting. However, they decrease from rewards of fasting."

Ibn al-Qayyim
“One must recall the punishments that have been set by Allāh as a punishment for perpetrating sins. Consider some of them touching you and make this a motive for the soul to abandon all sin. Here I shall list a few that should suffice the intellectual and truthful one
From it: A seal placed on the heart and the hearing, a veil over the sight, a lock on the heart and a shield over it, a covering and seal over the heart, turning away the hearts and the eyes, an intervention between the individual and his heart, heedlessness from remembering Allāh, forgetting oneself, forsaking the need for Allāh to purify your heart, the chest feeling constricted as if it is rising into the sky, diverting the hearts from the truth, increasing to its illness, falling back into error.”

Kun, faya kun - Be, and it is.
A reminder that nothing in your life is difficult for Allah. What feels impossible to you is effortless for Him. When doors seem closed, when answers feel delayed, when your heart grows tired from waiting - remember that Allah does not need time, means, or reasons. One command from Him can change your entire reality. What was broken can be restored, what was lost can return, and what you never imagined can arrive. Trust His timing, because when Allah says Kun, it doesn't struggle to happen - it simply is.
