A Series of Reminders About The Month of Ramaḍān - No.7

From The Virtues Of The Month Of Ramaḍān

Sh. Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān حفظه الله إيمانه said when listing the virtues of the month of Ramaḍān: "So these are great benefits of this month:

Firstly: Fasting in this month is a pillar from the pillars of Islām.

Secondly: Allāh revealed the Qur'ān in this month.

Thirdly: In this month is a night that is better than one thousand months.

Fourthly: The actions (of the slave) in this month are multiplied many fold.

Fifthly: Allāh chose this month specifically for the Ṭarāwiḥ Ṣalāḥ.

Sixthly: The doors of Jannah are opened and the doors of the hellfire are closed."

اللهم بلغنا رمضان بالصحة والعافية

Imām Al-Qurtubī رحمه الله said:

"The Salāh is a reason for (receiving) the provisions (from Allāh)."

*«ومَن كان له وِردٌ من القُرآن فقطعه، خِفتُ عليهِ أن يُسلب لذّةَ العبادة».*

It is not permissible for the mufti to be lenient in the fatwa, and whoever is known to do so is not permitted to be asked for a fatwa.

كان رجل عند النّبي ﷺ ينظر إليه لا يَطرف

فقال ﷺ: ما بالك؟

*قال: بأبي أنت وأمي، أتمتع من النظر إليك*



A man was with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, looking at him without blinking

And peace be upon him said: What's wrong with you?

He said: May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, I enjoy looking at you.

‎واحمدوا ربكم الذي أحياكم وعافاكم حتى بلغكموه ، فكم من أناس يتمنونه فحيل بينهم وبينه فلم يدركوه ؟

“So praise your Lord who gives you life and grants you well-being until you reach Ramadan, for how many people wished for it, and then their physical strength waned and so they did not reach it?”

Ramadan

Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people. *The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt, or to feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque in Medina for a month* . Whoever swallows his anger, then Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could fulfill his anger if he wished, then Allah will secure his heart on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever walks with his brother regarding a need until he secures it for him, then Allah Almighty will make his footing firm across the bridge on the day when the footings are shaken.”
