‏{فَمَنۡ عَفَا وَأَصۡلَحَ فَأَجۡرُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلله}

قال محمد بن المنكدر :

*ينادي المنادي يوم القيامة :*

[من كان له عند الله حق ، فليقم]

*قال : فيقوم من عفا وأصلح*

{So whoever pardons and reforms, his reward is with Allah}

Muhammad bin Al-Mankadr said:

The herald will call out on the Day of Resurrection:

[He who has a right with Allah, let him/her rise]

* He said: So he who pardoned and reformed will rise *

Narrated Al-Miqdam ibn Ma'dikarib:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: When a man loves his brother, he should tell him that he loves him.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ ثَوْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِيكَرِبَ، - وَقَدْ كَانَ أَدْرَكَهُ - عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِذَا أَحَبَّ الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُخْبِرْهُ أَنَّهُ يُحِبُّهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

*Who Has More Reward?*

Imām Ahmad recorded in the Book of az-Zuhd that Mujāhid رحمه الله said:

“Someone wrote to 'Umar b. al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه,

‘O Leader of the faithful!

Who is better?

- a man who does not feel the desire to commit a sin and does not commit it, or

- a man who feels desire to commit a sin, but does not commit it?’

‘Umar replied:

‘He who feels desire to commit a sin, but does not commit it, (they are the ones whose hearts Allāh has tested for Taqwā.

For them is forgiveness and a great reward.)”’
