Today we received and important question: " I was wondering where I can get a job as teacher at Swiss LTN?"
Below is a detailed answer to it.
SLTN is a network of language teachers in Switzerland. But we see ourselves mostly helping those teachers, who are deprived of the possibility to get employment with the Swiss state schools due to their protective measures of the employment market, resulting in the strict requirement of the Swiss pedagogical diploma.
Professional teachers coming from different countries in most of the cases already have the necessary qualifications to be a teacher in Switzerland and we recognize the international qualifications as equal to the Swiss ones. But unfortunately, teachers from abroad will only have the possibility to get employed with the private schools in Switzerland and many opt to work directly with clients, taking the path of a self-employed language teacher. Being an entrepreneur is a joy but as a challenge as well.
Though SLTN is an employer when it comes to working with the private market, our main focus is to provide the freelance language teachers with the tools that would help them directly find new clients and sign contracts with them.
Being visible on the market of language teaching services and competing for students alongside big long-established language schools (which have their own promotional budgets, customer databases and a powerful image), is a true challenge for free-lancers who start their independent journey. Thus, it’s important for them to be at the highest possible level of professionalism and customer service not to lose the competition.
This is where SLTN can be helpful with the synergy that comes from the members, who are still independent enough to take their own working decisions, but united enough to have the power of an ocean against one single drop of water.
Having your own professional profile listed on our web-site and sharable through all your social accounts is of utmost importance.
