Yes, macOS using Cmd+Shift+3 for screenshot is weird and bad for many reasons.
But I find myself binding Ctrl+Shift+3 and Meta+Shift+3 as screenshot on my games, as well as my Windows & Linux boxes, for one major reason:
I can keep my hands in nearly the same position. Right stays where it is and left stays very nearly on WASD.
Meta+S would probably be better but it's hard for me to find a consistent way to bind that.
Also, don't act as if Alt+F4 or F5 or F11 or Ctrl+Alt+Del are any more intuitive :p
macOS keyboard shortcuts tend to be better in general, this one is just so especially bad (especially for a common operation) that it sticks out

Overall, after settling all install issues, and using this for a month and a half...
it's gotten in my way much less than Mint and Windows did!
It feels very Mac-ey, in that it allows me to do whatever I want without being so gunked up in technical knowledge that I need to learn a ton to do it.
Better than macOS for the obvious reasons like UI customization and shit, but otherwise We feel very at-home using CachyOS in a way We never did using... well, basically any Debian OS
