Situation at Gaza strip [14/10/2023]:
The IDF announced a new pause to allow civilians to continue evacuating northern Gaza through two roads. In the meantime, the IDF forces have been conducting raids in the northern part of Gaza (orange circle) in order to gather information on military targets and hostages to pave the way for the ground offensive.
On the other hand, the number of casualties after a week of fighting has sadly reached 3600, while the number of wounded has reached 12300, most of them resulting from the bombardment of the Gaza Strip, where the average population density rate is 5500 inhabitants/km2. 🇮🇱🇵🇸

While in the south the ground operation to invade the Gaza Strip may begin in a matter of hours in the north the situation is worsening. Today Hezbollah managed to attack a number of Israeli positions in northern Palestine and in the occupied Shebaa Farms. In addition, a shell was fired from Syrian territory towards the occupied Golan and intercepted before impact. However, the Israeli response was not long in coming and the Aleppo airport was again attacked.
The invasion of Gaza could have important consequences, as several agents have already warned that they will take decisions in response to Israeli actions, while the opening of a second front in Gaza could complicate the defense of the territory controlled by Israel, which is likely to suffer heavy losses on the southern front. 🇮🇱🇵🇸

The Israeli offensive in Gaza is delayed for a few days due to bad weather conditions this week. However, this has not prevented the IDF from continuing to prepare the operation and send more troops to the southern front.
Today the attention was again diverted to the northern front. Although the information that Hezbollah had taken an Israeli base turned out to be false, it is true that the Lebanese militia managed to damage several Israeli bases in northern Palestine, especially in the occupied Shebaa Farms. The opening of a second front is more than likely if the invasion of Gaza begins. It should be recalled that Israeli forces suffered a defeat in Lebanon which forced their withdrawal from the country in 2000. A war against a Hamas entrenched in Gaza and against a Hezbollah experienced in fighting Israeli forces could be a very costly victory for the Israeli army and prevent it from achieving all its objectives. On the other hand in these last days many false news related to Syria have been issued. First of all, the desert movements of the SAA and its allies are related to the usual rotations and no operation is being prepared against the eastern bank of the Euphrates. Secondly, the reinforcements brought to Daraa and Quneitra are purely defensive and deterrent in nature, as the conditions of the SAA are not suitable for entering into a direct conflict with Israel (the priority of the Syrian army and government is to retake full control of the country).
And thirdly, the arrival of Russian weaponry in Syria does not mean preparation for a regional conflict either. The Syrian army will receive more such assistance soon, which is encouraging as Russia seems to be getting more involved in the Syrian conflict and providing the necessary resources to the SAA to deal with the ISIS insurgency in the desert as well as continuing to upgrade Syrian troops for the future operation in Idlib. 🇸🇾
