Not every trophy is lifted in celebration.

Some stand as witnesses to a world that watches tragedy unfold and continues to applaud.

Between the bright stadium lights and the roar of the crowds, there is a city fighting to survive, and lives being taken while the celebrations continue as though nothing has happened.

This visual work is an attempt to remind the world that behind the numbers and the headlines are human stories, the dreams of children, and a right to life that should never be buried beneath the rubble.

Gaza is not a passing headline. It is the story of a people who deserve to live.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed his relationship with United States President Donald Trump is "very good" despite public disagreements between the two, while saying that Israeli occupation forces will continue to occupy southern Lebanon as long as Hezbollah maintains military capabilities.

Asked about the possibility of re-establishing Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu said he did not rule out the move but added that it should be approached "wisely."

"I do not rule that out, but we must act wisely," he said.

🎥 According to Israeli Channel 12, the Lebanon–“Israel” agreement included a classified security annex that was left out of the published version, at the request of the Lebanese government, as per the Israeli account.

But what is this annex trying to hide?

US Ambassador Mike Huckabee marked the signing of Washington's new embassy compound in occupied Jerusalem by delivering what sounded less like a diplomatic speech and more like a theological history lesson.

Declaring that God had settled Jerusalem's status "3,800 years ago" and that the United States had merely taken its time catching up, Huckabee appeared to suggest that international law, decades of diplomacy, and UN resolutions had simply been delayed by divine paperwork.

Huckabee went on to celebrate planting the American flag in Jerusalem as though real estate developments could rewrite one of the world's most disputed political and legal questions.

While successive US administrations had long maintained that Jerusalem's final status should be resolved through negotiations, the ambassador's remarks instead implied that history, diplomacy, and international consensus had all been overruled by a speech, a ribbon cutting, and his own interpretation of biblical history.

'Israeli' Energy and Infrastructure Minister Eli Cohen claimed that 'Israel' now controls nearly 70 percent of the Gaza Strip and said the territory under its control "will only continue to grow" until it reaches "100 percent."

Speaking to Galei Israel radio, Cohen said 'Israel' could not allow Hamas "to raise its head even by a millimetre."

According to Cohen, 'Israel' controlled about 53 percent of Gaza two months ago. He claimed that figure rose to around 60 percent a month ago and is now approaching 70 percent.

'Israel' Defence Minister Israel Katz said 'Israel' could carry out additional strikes against Iran “if it deems it necessary,” even as the United States continues diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions.

Speaking at a memorial ceremony marking those killed in the 2006 Lebanon war, Katz said 'Israel' had already conducted what he described as two “proactive, pre-emptive strikes” inside Iran.

“We have attacked twice with proactive, preemptive strikes in Iran and, if necessary, we will strike a third time as well,” Katz said.

He also said 'Israeli' forces would remain indefinitely in what he described as “security zones” in Lebanon, Syria, and the Gaza Strip, arguing the deployments were needed to protect 'Israeli' communities.

This is the heartbreaking reality for families in Gaza who have gone days without enough food.

Parents are watching their children endure unbearable hunger. Some children tie stones to their stomachs to try and ease the pain of empty bellies.

🎥 The IRGC Navy has instructed all vessels that navigation through the #Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz must take place south of Larak Island.

It warned that any vessel sailing outside the designated route would be considered "extremely dangerous and unacceptable."

The directive concerns one of the world's most strategically important maritime chokepoints, as a substantial share of global oil and gas exports passes through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf criticised the United States over what he described as hypocrisy in lecturing Iran about hunger while tens of millions of Americans depend on federal food assistance.

Responding to recent remarks by Donald Trump about Iran having a “hunger problem”, Ghalibaf wrote on X that Washington was projecting its own domestic problems onto others, adding: “Our assets, our choices.”

The remarks also followed claims that Iran’s unfrozen assets would be used to purchase American agricultural products.

Meanwhile, stricter eligibility rules for the US Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program have reportedly resulted in millions losing benefits, even as defence spending increased, while the programme has historically supported around 40 million or more Americans during periods of economic pressure.

US officials indirectly warned Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf that they could face possible Israeli assassination attempts during sensitive ceasefire negotiations, according to The NYT.

The warnings were delivered through regional intermediaries amid fears that targeting 2 senior Iranian officials directly involved in talks with Washington could derail efforts to establish a lasting peace framework and trigger renewed large-scale conflict. Concerns reportedly intensified in the weeks following the 8 April ceasefire.

American officials reportedly believed Israel viewed the assassination of senior Iranian leaders as part of its broader strategy during the conflict, prompting Washington to ask third-party regional governments to alert Tehran to possible threats.

According to the report, two Israeli fighter jets entered Iranian airspace on 12 April while Ghalibaf was returning from Islamabad after talks with Vance.

Mount Thawr is not only a landmark of the Hijrah.

New geological insight suggests its granite rocks may date back nearly 800 million years, formed deep beneath the Earth before being lifted by ancient tectonic forces.

A powerful look at how one of Islam’s most meaningful sites also preserves a hidden chapter of Earth’s history.

A senior Israeli military official has warned that regular combat forces are approaching a critical threshold as prolonged assaults across multiple fronts deepen severe manpower shortages.

Brigadier General Shai Taib told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee that urgent measures are needed, including an effective draft law, longer mandatory service and reforms to reserve regulations.

Estimates put the current shortfall at 12,000 to 17,000 troops, including up to 8,000 combat personnel.

The warning comes amid controversy over continued exemptions for ultra-Orthodox religious students, while annual enlistment from the community remains at around 2,800.

Military Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has previously warned that the army could “collapse in on itself” without additional soldiers.

Officials also warn that failing to extend mandatory service from 30 to 36 months could cut combat strength by 10 to 15 per cent from January 2027.
