Dear friends, πŸ‘‹πŸΌπŸ“©

We received 130+ submissions for profile evaluation. Over the next few weeks, we will be reaching out to you and will ask for your resume if you are applying for a Master’s degree. Until that time, please prepare your resume and think about the universities you want to apply. While it is good to be ambitious, you also have to be realistic about the situation.

Thank you, and have a great day!

We talked to a few young fellows who are planning to quit their universities (in which they studied 2-3 years) to pursue an education abroad. If your passion changed (you are studying economics but suddenly you wanted to be in IT), that decision might be okay. However, leaving a university after studying two years and starting the same program in a foreign country like the USA is not always the wisest decision (if you are a genuine student).

The wages for entry-level jobs post-bachelor's in the USA are often lower than what you might expect. The average starting salary for a bachelor's degree holder in the USA is around $50,000. However, this figure varies greatly depending on the field of study and location. Moreover, the living expenses in some cities in the USA are so high that the entry-level salary is not enough to cover them.

Getting an H-1B visa, which allows non-US citizens to work in the USA, is becoming increasingly difficult due to changes in US immigration policies. The H-1B visa program is designed to attract highly skilled workers to the USA, but the number of visas issued each year is limited, and there is often fierce competition for them. If you have studied on a student loan, returning to your home country or elsewhere with a huge burden of debt can be a daunting prospect. This can affect your life and career decisions as you may feel obligated to choose a higher paying job rather than the one you like to pay off your debt.

The harsh reality is that elite education is mostly for upper-middle and rich people, and pursuing a bachelor's degree in the USA may not always be the best option for everyone. It's important to consider all the costs and potential outcomes before making a decision.

One better option is to complete remaining one or two years of bachelor's in Uzbekistan and pursue a master's degree afterward. This can lead to higher salaries and better employment outcomes, as master's degree holders often earn more than bachelor's degree holders. Moreover, studying in your home country allows you to save on living expenses ('A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned') and avoid the burden of student loans.

Also there is two/three years of your life that you are throwing away to start over something that you don't have to.

If you are pursuing a business degree, or would like to transition to Management Consulting / Strategy / Finance / Marketing roles in the future, we are providing some data to weight the costs and benefits. You can find similar data on engineering and IT [LINK]

Again, if you are not passionate about the field you are studying, it is okay to start over.

πŸ”€oday we want to talk about Nazarbayev University, where you can receive a world-class education at a lower cost than in US. Word has it that around 97% of NU students study for free. You can use that education in the job market or in furthering your academic pursuits in more prestigious universities. NU has a very strong STEM programs, especially in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Students graduating from Bachelor's are getting straight into PhD programs at top universities such as
Stanford😳, Harvard 😳 and Princeton 😳.

NU is known for its high-quality academic programs and research excellence. NU graduates are highly sought after in the world.

The photo contains some alumni of NU, whom i could find with some basic LinkedIn search. You can find many more successful alumni like them, doing your won research.

There is no guarantee to get into top US schools and/or getting your F-1 visa approved. You can hedge your chances of receiving world class education by applying to NU.

This is not an advertisement and profiles of NU alumni are publicly available.

⭐️ First of many

Success Squad is proud to announce that we helped a Round 2 applicant get accepted into both Vanderbilt and USC, πŸ” 19 and 25 MBA programs in United States!

Khojimurod started the application process late, which could have been a setback, but we immediately got to work to help him catch up. SS Team provided him with expert guidance and support throughout the entire process, from selecting the right schools to crafting compelling essays, and preparing for interviews. We did our best to ensure that Khojimurod's application was as strong as possible, and we're glad that our efforts paid off.

We're thrilled to have played a role in Khojimurod's success and look forward to helping more students achieve their goals ⏳
