The picture illustrates the process through which olive oil is produced. Overall, this process is sophisticated consisting of three stages and seven steps requiring both manual labor and and special equipment in certain steps.

In the first stage, ripe olive are picked out by hand in order not to damage the beans. This is followed by rinsing them with cold water before they are sent to the smashing pot by conveyor belt.

In the next stage, olive stones and olive paste is separated from smashed olive. While olive stones are ready for consumption, olive paste can be processed again. Bottled olive pastes is brought to pressing step with the use of bags with holes.

Having been pressed, olive is ready for the next step which involves separating oil and water. After this ready Olive oil is either sent to storage or immediately to the storage.

Some ex-prisoners commit crimes after being released from prison. What do you think is the cause? How can it be solved?

Imprisonment is not always an ultimate rehabilitation process as it is an often case ex-prisoners commit crimes again after their release. In my opinion, social isolation and environmental gap are the main drivers urging them to reoffend, yet there are certain actions to be taken both during and after incarceration to prevent recidivism.

There are myriad of reasons why ex-criminals reoffend after their release, with social isolation being the primary of them. In most societies, whether a person committed a crime or not critically matters in his social life and career since people’s belief towards a person with criminal record erodes regardless that individual understand his mistake or not. Consequently, this ex-offender is socially isolated as people hesitate to build relations with him. The same scenario happens regarding ex-prisoners’ employment status as both governmental organizations and private entities prioritize individuals with no criminal history as ex-prisoners are believed to hinder social and market status of the company. In this case, ex-offenders have no other choice than committing crime again.

Environmental gap is another significant factor why ex-prisoners cannot adjust to ordinary lifestyle and go back to their prison cell again. The reason is that social norms noticeably varies before and after the imprisonment which worsens rehabilitation process of ex-criminals. The more sentence duration the harder it becomes for ex- offenders to reintegrate into society. In most countries, however, rehabilitation process continues exclusively during imprisonment which is why re-offence occurs because of maladjustment.

When it comes to the solutions of these problems, from my perspective, both during the imprisonment and upon release, the rehabilitation should be long- term drawn process and never be seen as an event. Rather than approaching this process as a punishment, during sentence period, mental treatments should be applied in the ways of psychological lesson of how toxic committing crime is. After release, community members and family should accept ex-offender as a reformed individual nor a criminal again and local authority has utmost importance on attitude shift of general public towards ex-offender.

In conclusion, social gap and isolation are main to blame on re-offence of ex-criminal, yet this could be solved by collective actions by the government and the public.

The table compares how much money ( in million dollars) was invested to second world countries by the USA, EU and other states between 2006 and 2010. Overall, the USA gave significantly higher monetary aid compared to EU and other countries. However, they all constantly increased financial support year by year, with an only exception of 2009 when all the given investors slightly reduced their funding.

In initial two years, total 15.7 and 17.6 million dollars were given to developing countries, with the USA constituting more than half of these sums ( 9.8 in 2006 and 11million dollars in 2007). The rest of these investments was covered by EU and other counties, sharing almost equal 3.1 / 2.8 and 3.4/ 3.2 million dollars respectively. In 2008, the amount of donation was significant, with 24.4 million dollars in a year. While 3.9 and 3.5 million dollars were given by EU and other countries, 17 million dollars investment was from the USA.

2009, however, was an exceptional year during the entire period as all countries declined financial support. Altogether 23.5 million dollars were given to developing counties. 16,7 millions of this amount was given by the USA and almost 3,5 millions equally from the rest given investors. At the end of the given period, 20.3 , 4.1, and 3.7 million dollars were given respectively by the USA, EU and other countries.

The two pictures compare two tunnels in different Australian cities. The comparison involves length, depth, design of the tunnel together with its construction date and cost. Overall, except the design of the tunnels, tunnel B dominated regarding all categories given as its construction cost is higher and have been built recently.

When it comes to Tunnel A, it is and underwater link of two sides of a lake. It was constructed between 1987 and 1992, requiring total 556 million dollars during this process. It is 25 meters below ground level and lengthens 2.2 kilometers. Twin tube design was used in this tunnel making the traffic flow more easier as the result.

Tunnel B, on the other hand, is not under water - just links one part of the city with another, yet twin tube design was used here as well. Its construction required 1.1 billion dollars with three year infrastructure procedure from 2004. It is rather deeper with 35 meters and cover more area (3.6 kilometres).
