दादा जी गली में ही टहल रहे थे।
निशा भी उनके साथ हो ली। बस अभी चार कदम ही चले थे कि करीब चालीस पैंतालीस की उम्र का एक भिखारी गली में रुक रुक कर आते जाते लोगों से कुछ माँगता दिखाई दिया ..।
निशा ने दादाजी से पूछा - "दादाजी, क्या इस उम्र तक आते-आते भी इस व्यक्ति ने ऐसी कोई कोशिश नहीं की कि इसे किसी से कुछ मांगना ना पड़े..?
दादा जी कुछ कह पाते, इसके पहले ही वह उनके पास आ चुका था। उनकी तरफ हाथ बढ़ाकर कुछ माँगने लगा...!! दादा जी अपने पाजामे की जेब टटोलने लगे...! हाथ में दो रुपये का सिक्का लगा। उन्होंने वह उसे दे दिया....!!
परंतु यह क्या!
उस भिखारी ने जैसे ही देखा कि सिक्का दो रुपए का है..., बड़ी हिकारत से दादाजी की तरफ देखा और उस सिक्के को जमीन पर फेंक दिया।
निशा को यह दादाजी के अपमान जैसा लगा उसका चेहरा तमतमा उठा।
उसने भिखारी को कुछ कहने के लिए मुँह खोला.... लेकिन तब तक दादाजी ने उसे रोक दिया और उसका हाथ पकड़ कर आगे बढ़ गए।
अब दादा जी ने कहा - "निशा बेटा, जो कण की कीमत नहीं समझता, धन उसके पास कभी नहीं आता.....!!!"
"उसने खुद बता दिया कि वह भिखारी क्यों है।"
निशा को जीवन की एक अनमोल सीख मिल गई थी..!!
1. जो छोटी चीज़ों की कद्र नहीं करता, वह बड़ी चीज़ों का हकदार नहीं होता
2. कृतज्ञता (Gratitude) का अभाव व्यक्ति को नीचे गिरा देता है
3. धन और सफलता पाने के लिए सही मानसिकता जरूरी है
4. हर अपमान का जवाब देना जरूरी नहीं होता
5. सच्चा ज्ञान परिस्थितियों के सही विश्लेषण से आता है
"छोटी चीजों की कद्र करना, कृतज्ञ रहना और अपमान को धैर्य से सहना — यही सफलता और सम्मान की असली कुंजी है।"
