वो दोनों सड़क पर एक दूसरे से लड़ते लड़ते जा रहे थे। तभी बड़ा भाई बड़े होने के गुरूर के कारण तना तना, आगे आगे बिना परवाह किये तेजी से चलने लगा। वो खाली हाथ था।

जबकि छोटे भाई की कमर पर एक भारी बैग टंगा था जिसे लिये लिये वह रोता चिल्लाता चल रहा था। बीच बीच में चिल्ला कर भाई को रोते हुए स्वर में पुकारता - ओ भाई, रुक जा ना, मुझसे चला नहीं जा रहा, भाई!

पर बड़ा सब बातों से बेखबर मस्त हाथी की तरह चलता ही जा रहा था।

बडे़ भाई की उमर होगी कोई लगभग सात आठ साल की और छोटा मुश्किल से पांच साल का होगा। बहुत देर तक सड़क पर यही क्रम चलता रहा।

तभी वहां एक चौराहा आया जहां अच्छी खासी भीड़ और ट्रैफिक भी था। आड़ी तिरछी बाइक, स्कूटर, स्कूटी, कार, टैम्पो और पैदल लोगों की आवाजाही और भीड़।

तभी बड़े वाला वहां पर रुक कर छोटे का इन्तजार करने लगा। छोटा गिरता पड़ता, रोता चिल्लाता भाई के पास पहुंचा और जोर से बैग फैंक दो चार हाथ भाई के जोर जोर से मारे। वह क्रोध , पीड़ा और भाई की उपेक्षा से छटपटा रहा था।

लेकिन बड़े भाई ने इस सब के बाद भी कोई खास प्रतिक्रिया ना दी। बस उसने पास में पड़ा हुआ बैग कन्धे पर लटकाया और भाई को पीठ पर बैठाने के लिए नीचे बैठ गया। छोटा सब गुस्सा भूल गालों पर बहते आँसुओं को आस्तीन से पोंछ कर बडे़ भाई की कमर पर चढ गया।

बड़े भाई ने दोनों तरफ सावधानी से ट्रैफिक का जायजा ले कर सड़क पार की। सड़क पार कराने के लिए बड़े भाई ने जितनी जिम्मेदारी से छोटे को बैग समेत अपनी कमर पर लादा था, सड़क पार करके फिर से बैग समेत छोटे भाई को उतार दिया और फिर अपने उसी मस्त अन्दाज में चल पड़ा।

छोटे भाई ने जैसे तैसे लड़खड़ाते हुए पुन: बैग को उठाया और गिरता पड़ता भाई के पीछे पीछे चल दिया। पर अब वह रोया चिल्लाया नहीं था!

क्योंकि वह अब समझ चुका था उसका बड़ा भाई उसे मजबूत बनाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है!

इसलिए छोटी छोटी परेशानियों से उसे अकेले तो कठिन परिस्थितियों में उसकी ढाल बनकर खड़ा है...!!

जीवन में बड़ी कामयाबी पाने के लिए आत्मनिर्भर होकर अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी निभाने के लिए हमें हमेशा तैयार रहना चाहिए।
