🔍 An Explanation of the statement of Imām Al-Baghawi*🔎
As Salaam Alaikum,
Some of the brothers requested an explanation to this statement of Imām Al-Baghawi (رحمه الله) regarding how it should be implemented and understood.
Firstly, boycotting is legislated in the religion as it was practiced by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions (رضي الله عنهم).
Secondly, we have to understand that if we see our Muslim brother disobeying Allah and His Messenger we should advise him. Give him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't know and try our best to clarify that mistake to him so he leaves it off. Because we want all the Muslims to be safe from the anger of Allah.
However, if after the truth has been conveyed to him and it was made very clear without any doubts and he continues to choose that evil over the truth then he has to be left for his own good and ours.
And from the examples of this legislated boycotting is the case of Ka'b ibn Malik and his two companions. When they didn't partake in the battle of Tabuk without any justified excuse. And they were neither innovators or people of desires but they disobeyed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in one affair. And that was enough for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to boycott them and order all the Muslims to boycott them for 50 days, until their repentance was revealed in an Ayah.
Likewise was the case with Ibn Umar (رضي الله عنهما) with his own son. After explaining to him the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said not to prohibit your wives from going to the masjid, his son said he was going to do it anyway. So Ibn Umar swore never to speak to him again. Why? Because he opposed the ruling of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after it was made clear to him.
So like these great salaf we too must not take lite the disobedience of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.
And like our Shaikh, Muhammad ba Jamaal (حفظه الله) is always telling us, *"we can not have extremisms nor deficiencies in our religion, we must always be in the middle."*
So we don't go to extremes and boycott every Muslim we see in opposition to the guidance of Allah and His Messenger. Nor do we make lite of the disobedience of Allah and continue to laugh, joke and sit with those that choose disobedience over the truth.
We advise. As the Messenger of Allah said, "The religion is advise."
But if after that advise they choose other than the guidance of Allah and His Messenger, it is as Allah mentioned in His Noble Book:
{وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ الرَّسُولَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْهُدَى وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِ مَا تَوَلَّى وَنُصْلِهِ جَهَنَّمَ وَسَاءتْ مَصِيراً}
Which translates as:
✨ "And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination. ." [Nisa:115]
We ask Allah to make this short clarification as a benefit for the Muslims in aiding them get closer to their Lord.
And all the praise is for Allah and we seek His help and guidance.

All the praise is for Allah the Most-High, for allowing us to travel around the country of Yemen giving dawah with our beloved Shaikh Muhammad ba Jamaal (may Allah preserve him).
We left the region of Hadramout on yawm al-Ahad (Sunday) the 7th of Rabi Athaani (Nov.22). Our first stop was in the region of Shabwah. Which is about 6 hours from Hadramout. We were graciously received by our brothers from Ahlul Sunnah at Masjid Salafi just after Dhuhr. We prayed Dhuhr then eat lunch then rested until Asr.
At Asr the Shaikh and some of the brothers went out to different parts of Shabwah to give talks in different masaajid.
After Asr we all returned to go into the market area for the conference between Maghrib and Isha.
The masjid was very simple but the people were so receptive.

All the praise is for Allah the Most-High, after the conference in Shabwah we proceeded to Abyan.
We arrived in Ja'ār, Abyan before Dhuhr. We were received by our brothers Ahlul Sunnah with a gracious welcoming. From them was our brother Abū Aamir Abdullah Hakami
The Shaikh spoke for Dhuhr at Dar Hadith Salafiyah at Ja'ār.
The rest of the brothers went to different masaajid and gave talks in the surrounding areas.
Then after Dhuhr we returned to the central Masjid in Ja'ār and had lunch. We rested then for Asr the Shaikh spoke in the central Masjid. And the rest of the brothers were sent out to give talks in other surrounding areas. After Asr they hosted us and provided us with a beautiful spread of sweets, cakes and cookies with all kinds of tea.
Later the muhadarah of the Shaikh was in Ba'Jidar, the masjid of Shaikh Zaid al-Wasaabi. The masjid was packed with the people of the local community. After the muhadarah the Shaikh provided us with a gracious dinner. After dinner we headed to Aden.
Around 10 PM we arrived in Braiqah at the masjid of Shaikh Ahmad Uthman. We spent the night there and then the Shaikh gave a talk for Fajr. After Fajr we rested then they served us breakfast, then we went to the beach...

All the praise is for Allah the Most-High, after returning from the beach, we headed to the masjid of Shaikh Hussain Al-Hateebi (may Allah preserve him) in the district of Salaah ad-Deen in Aden. We arrived before Dhuhr and we were immediately greeted by our brothers my Ahlul Sunnah. We were taken up to the library and we had a sitting with Shaikh Hussain then we were dispersed to different masjids to give talks for Dhuhr.
After Dhuhr they served us lunch and like I said before the food was soo much, and so beautiful. May Allah reward them for their gracious hospitality to their brothers.
After lunch we rested till Asr. Some of us visited the homes of some of our brothers we hadn't seen in years. That night Shaikh Muhammad ba Jamaal gave the muhadarah (conference) in the masjid of Shaikh Hussain. It was packed. First our senior brother, Abu Musa Ali Ba Shuyab gave the introduction to the Shaikh. Then the Shaikh spoke. Then after his talk we prayed Isha, then Shaikh Hussain got up and spoke after Isha. That Shaikh Ahmed Uthman closed it out with a very powerful talk. May Allah preserve all our scholars.
After the muhadarah they feed us dinner then we sat we our brothers till late in the night talking about the dawah in Yemen and outside of Yemen and how this dawah is spreading.
Then the next morning we prayed Fajr with Shaikh Hussain then had breakfast then we headed off to Baab al-Mandab.
We arrived in Baab al-Mandab before Dhuhr. We were greeted by the people of the neighborhood who were so gracious. One of our dear brothers, Abu Abba's al-Jazairee (may Allah increase him in good) from Dammaj is giving dawah at this masjid. We prayed Dhuhr with them and Shaikh Muhammad gave a talk. After the talk we were taken to Abu Abba's house for lunch and the whole neighborhood came to greet us and help with the food. Masha Allah. And this area is in the middle of nowhere, literally. LOL But the people of the Sunnah are teaching and the people are loving the dawah. All praise to Allah.
For Asr we went to another masjid to give talks. Then the muhadarah was in an area called Subayah. It was way off the paved road. We had to change cars because the big bus was not able to travel this path. We got in military grade pickup trucks and headed another 40 mins to the masjid of our brothers. From Ahlul Sunnah.
It was beautiful, all the way up on top of the mountain. It was a small simple masjid but they had so many students, young and old. We even saw some of our brothers that use to study with us in Hawtah with Shaikh Muhammad. We were greeted by like the whole town. Subhannah Allah. Then we prayed Maghrib then Shaikh Muhammad gave the muhadarah. It was packed till people were outside. The Shaikh gave a beautiful talk about the great favor they are in to be able to learn their religion.
After the muhadarah we were invited to the Imāms house for dinner. After dinner they requested we stay with them but we had to go because we had a long travel ahead of us to get to the next stop.
{يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُواْ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ}
That which translates to:
✨"O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when a people determined to extend their hands [in aggression] against you, but He withheld their hands from you; and fear Allah . And upon Allah let the believers rely."

After the talk we were taken to Abu Abba's house for lunch and the whole neighborhood came to greet us and help with the food. Masha Allah. And this area is in the middle of nowhere, literally. LOL But the people of the Sunnah are teaching and the people are loving the dawah. All praise to Allah.
For Asr we went to another masjid to give talks. Then the muhadarah was in an area called Subayah. It was way off the paved road. We had to change cars because the big bus was not able to travel this path. We got in military grade pickup trucks and headed another 40 mins to the masjid of our brothers. From Ahlul Sunnah.
It was beautiful, all the way up on top of the mountain. It was a small simple masjid but they had so many students, young and old. We even saw some of our brothers that use to study with us in Hawtah with Shaikh Muhammad. We were greeted by like the whole town. Subhannah Allah. Then we prayed Maghrib then Shaikh Muhammad gave the muhadarah. It was packed till people were outside. The Shaikh gave a beautiful talk about the great favor they are in to be able to learn their religion.
After the muhadarah we were invited to the Imāms house for dinner. After dinner they requested we stay with them but we had to go because we had a long travel ahead of us to get to the next stop.
{يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُواْ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ}
That which translates to:
✨"O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when a people determined to extend their hands [in aggression] against you, but He withheld their hands from you; and fear Allah . And upon Allah let the believers rely."

الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم
أما بعد:
We find some Muslims invoking mercy upon a Christian journalist who died upon Kufr. Some of them go as far as calling her a Shaheed (martyr), and some as far as affirming Jannah for her.
Let's ignore the fact that she defended the Palestinian people and the fact that she condemned the Jewish aggression. In fact, let's ignore every good and noble deed that she ever did, simply because dying in the state of Kufr renders all of that useless.
What do you think this is?
There is no flattery when it comes to Tawheed!
Allah says regarding the deeds of the Kuffar:
{ وَقَدِمۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ مِنۡ عَمَلࣲ فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ هَبَاۤءࣰ مَّنثُورًا }
“And We shall turn to the deeds they have done and scatter them like dust.”
[Surah Al-Furqân: 23]
What's more, Allah praises 18 Prophets under one context in Suratul An'am, then after praising them, concludes:
{وَلَوۡ أَشۡرَكُوا۟ لَحَبِطَ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ}
“If they had associated partners with Him, all their deeds would have come to nothing.” [Surah Al-Anâm: 88]
There is no flattery when it comes to Tawheed - not even in the case of Prophets and Messengers!
Let's state the facts:
Fact 1:
Anyone who dies upon Kufr will abide in Hell forever as Allah said:
{ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَمَاتُوا۟ وَهُمۡ كُفَّارٌ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ لَعۡنَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجۡمَعِینَ (161) خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَا لَا یُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمۡ یُنظَرُونَ (162) }
“Surely those who disbelieve and die as disbelievers are condemned by Allah, the angels, and all of humanity. * They will be in Hell forever. Their punishment will not be lightened, nor will they be delayed ˹from it˺.”
[Surah Al-Baqarah: 161-162]
Fact 2:
It is Haraam to seek mercy and forgiveness for the Kuffar as Allah said:
{ مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِیِّ وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ أَن یَسۡتَغۡفِرُوا۟ لِلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ وَلَوۡ كَانُوۤا۟ أُو۟لِی قُرۡبَىٰ مِنْ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَیَّنَ لَهُمۡ أَنَّهُمۡ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡجَحِیمِ }
“It is not ˹proper˺ for the Prophet and the believers to seek forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were close relatives, after it has become clear to the believers that they are bound for the Hellfire.”
[Surah At-Tawbah: 113]
Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) visited the grave of his mother and he wept, and moved others around him to tears, and said: I sought permission from my Lord to beg forgiveness for her but it was not granted to me, and I sought permission to visit her grave and it was granted to me so visit the graves, for that makes you mindful of death.
[Muslim]
Fact 3:
It is not permissible to say of any individual Muslim -let alone a non-Muslim- who dies fighting in Allah's cause that he died a Shaheed (martyr) - unless there is specific evidence testifying to that.
For example, the Prophet (ﷺ) once climbed the mountain of Uhud with Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthman. The mountain shook with them, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said (to the mountain), "Be firm, O Uhud! For on you there are no more than a Prophet, a Siddiq and two martyrs (referring to 'Umar and 'Uthman). [Bukhari]
So on the basis of this hadeeth, we can testify that 'Umar and 'Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them both) both died as martyrs.
Fact 4:
We have to make an effort to learn the correct Islamic 'Aqeedah and teach it to others. Otherwise we'll be overtaken by emotions and fall into the same mistakes that these Muslims have fallen into ولا حولا ولا قوة إلا بالله

I wanted to make it clear that the translator Abu Abbas Yahya is not from the people upon the correct understanding. He has attacked the people of the sunnah and has defended innovators.
So I don't advise anyone to take from him or read anything from him. As the messenger of Allah said "A person is upon the way of his companion." So it is from our methodology to stay away from those that oppose the people of the sunnah.
I ask Allah to forgive me for my shortcomings in not looking into his affairs before posting.

*إذا قال الفلكيون :*
إنَّها ستكسف الشمس، فلا نصلي حتى نرى الكسوف بالعين المجرَّدة ؛ لأنَّ الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم قال : " إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ وَصَلُّوا حَتَّى يَنْجَلِيَ" متفق عليه من حديث المغيرة بن شعبة .
أمَّا إذا مَنَّ الله علينا بأن صار الكسوف لا يُرى في بلدنا إلا بمكبر أو نظارات، *فلا تُشرع صلاة الكسوف.*

If the astronmers say, "There is going to be a solar eclipse", we do not pray until we see the eclipse clearly with our eyes. For indeed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun and the moon are two signs of Allah, they do not eclipse for the death or the birth of anyone. So if you see one of them make dua and pray to Allah until it passes" [Bukhari and Muslim from the hadith of Mugirah bin Shurbah]
And if it is that Allah prevents us from seeing it in our country except we devices it is not legislated for us to pray.

As salaam alaikum rahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
One of our distinguished brothers just recently returned to the lands of Islam after spending some time in the lands of the kufaar and this is what he noticed. May Allah make it as a benefit for him and all of us.
السلام عليكم
First noticeable differences after returning to the lands of the Muslims .
1. Praying five times a day in the masjid with your brothers of like faith. The importance of this act can’t be expressed enough.
a. Prayer is the greatest of the pillars of Islam.
b. For the prayer to be accepted it must be in accordance to the Quran and Sunnah.
c. It’s obligatory for the men to pray in the masjid.
This is the view of ‘Ata ibn Abi Rabah, al-Hasan al-Basri, al-Awza’i and Abi Thawr, and of Imam Ahmad as it appears from some of his statements. This was also stated by al-Shafi`i in Mukhtasar al-Muzni where he said: “With regard to praying in congregation , I do not allow a concession to anyone not to do it except one who has an excuse.” This was also the view favoured by Shaykh Ibn Baz and Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymin (may Allah have mercy on them).
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“When you (O Messenger Muhammad) are among them, and lead them in As-Salah (the prayer), let one party of them stand up [in Salah (prayer)] with you taking their arms with them; when they finish their prostrations, let them take their positions in the rear and let the other party come up which have not yet prayed, and let them pray with you” [al-Nisa 4:102]
Ibn al-Mundhir said:
“The fact that Allah has commanded us to establish prayer in congregation even at times of fear indicates that doing so at times of security is even more obligatory.” (Al-Awsat, 4/135)
Ibn al-Qayyim said:
“There are several ways in which this verse may be taken as evidence:
Firstly, Allah commands them to pray in congregation, then He repeats the command with regard to the second group, by saying “and let the other party come up which have not yet prayed, and let them pray with you”. This indicates that praying in congregation is obligatory on an individual basis, as Allah did not excuse the second group because the first group had done it. If praying in congregation was Sunnah, the best excuse for not doing it would be the excuse of fear. If it were fard kifayah (a communal obligation), it would no longer be obligatory after the first group had done it. So this verse proves that it is obligatory for each and every individual. So these are the three ways in which this verse proves it is obligatory: Allah commands it once, then He commands it again, and He does not allow them a concession not to do it at times of fear.” (Al-Salah wa Hukm Tarikiha, p. 137, 138).
There is no way that an individual can live the Deen, practice the Deen, and understand the Sunnah while he does not make his obligatory prayers in congregation at the masjid. There is a deep disconnect from the Muslims and sense of brotherhood when a person does not pray in the masjid. The sense of disconnect is multiplied when a person is surrounded by non Muslims most of his day.
O you who believe! Take care of your ownselves, [do righteous deeds, fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. If you follow the right guidance and enjoin what is right (Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbid what is wrong (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden) no hurt can come to you from those who are in error. The return of you all is to Allah, then He will inform you about (all) that which you used to do.
2. Hearing the Athan to remind us of the times of prayer. The absence of hearing it brings about a disconnect from the Deen and the houses of Allaah.

Slightly earlier it has reached us that our honourable brother Shaykh Abu Abdillah Wahb Adh-Dhayfaani has passed away, indeed we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return, the eyes shed tears, and the hearts are saddened, but we will not say except what pleases our lord.
Our brother Wahb was from our virtuous, the callers, those who were in the town Ta'iz, and they had a precedence of honor in it, we know him for a while, for his efforts in Da'wah, his good manners, his love for his brothers, he used to be from the eloquent speakers, and those that recite poetry, and he has defence for the Sunnah.
I ask Allah the mighty and majestic to raise his status, and to provide others to take care for his offspring, and to forgive us and him, and to make his grave spacious, and to make it illuminated for him, and to make Firdaus his abode.
We extend our condolences to his relatives, ourselves and all of Ahlussunnah for his passing.
To Allah is what He took, and for Him is what He gives, and everything with Him is for an appointment time.
فما الدنيا بباقية لحي --- وما حي على الدنيا بباقي
The dunya doesn't remain for the living --- nor does the living remain upon the dunya.
