We are protesting against the immigration authorities because they are an instrument for institutionalising racism and harassment against refugees and migrants in Germany.

The nationwide alliance #FightRacism - Abolish Ausländerbehörde is calling for protests throughout Germany to take action against the racist and inhumane institution of the Ausländerbehörde. We are various anti-racist groups and initiatives and individuals showing solidarity. Some people in the alliance are themselves affected by the discriminatory practices of the immigration authorities. In principle, the action alliance stands for a right to stay for all, against racist discrimination, against deportation and in favour of freedom of movement and open borders.

text: SOLIDARITY WITH KURDISH REFUGEES IN TEGEL - EVACUATE ALL CAMPS NOW!

On the night of 27 November 2023, a violent attack took place against Kurdish refugees in a refugee camp in Berlin-Tegel. They were racially abused, threatened and attacked with knives by Islamist camp residents. Some of the attackers insulted them as "infidel Kurds" while shouting slogans such as "We will do what ISIS failed to do". Security staff at the camp also took part, allowing the attackers access to a separate tent where the victims were housed after the initial clashes.

Several Kurds were injured, including a pregnant Kurdish woman who lost her baby as a direct result. Many are still in afraid. The tent in which they are now being housed separately is in a disastrous state. They are receiving no support from the centre's managers, nor from the state institutions and authorities.

The fact that Kurdish refugees have to flee from their homeland and continue to be exposed to anti-Kurdish racism here is not only due to the security personnel, but also clearly a failure of the German state: the FRG acts as an extension of Turkey and systematically creates an anti-Kurdish climate!
At the same time, refugees in this country continue to be harassed and deported. The camps in Germany are testimony of a failed and inhumane asylum policy, in which a life in dignity is impossible.

We name the perpetrators: we know the relations between the German state and Turkey! We oppose the racist and Islamist ideology that has dehumanised, killed and expelled our friends and siblings for generations!

Solidarity with the Kurdish refugees in Berlin-Tegel and all refugees in all camps! Stop the criminalisation of Kurdish movements and end the dehumanisation of refugees! Evacuate all camps NOW!
