Hi! Please share in your networks! Thanks💜

Alarm Phone needs you…

On 11 October 2014, we inaugurated the Alarm Phone network, an emergency telephone line designed to request or accompany rescue operations on European sea and land routes.

After 9 years of activity, the number of people needing assistance continues to rise and, as a result, our telephone costs - one of the major expenses of the network :
- in 2020: €28.900
- in 2021: €54.800
- in 2022: €143.800

To ensure that our financial situation does not hinder our work, we have decided to launch an international fundraising campaign to mark our 9th anniversary.
We invite you to watch the explanatory video created for this campaign: https://youtu.be/GwXa645z_wg

Every donation can help us continue our mission and keep answering the telephone.

Uprising in Medved'ov migrant detention Center - Medved'ov, Slovakia 19th of October 2023

Since Yesterday, 45 detained people on the move entered into a hunger strike protesting their detention at the Slovakian-Hungarian border town Medved'ov. Mostly Kurdish people from Iraq and Turkey, as well as people from Afghanistan, are detained since weeks, some for months, without any information on the reasons why or for how long.

Last night 30 riot police with dogs entered the detention center to intimidate people on the move who are demanding their freedom.

They are denied access to their phones, forced to wear prison clothes and pay for each meal.
Hygienic standards are poor and infectious diseases spread easily.
The people detained have no access to translators and legal as well as social services are blatantly insufficient.

"This is worse than what I have experienced in Turkish prisons", a Kurdish person detained in Medved'ov says. "We are not informed on the legal basis of our detention, nor our future. We cannot contact anyone. The only way get attention for this situation is through hunger strike. We demand release to open camps".

People have written "freedom" and "help us" on posters. They are determined to continue claiming their rights and access to the outside world through protests until they are provided with an alternative solution.

We demand the freedom for the people detained in Medved'ov migrant detention Center as well as other migration detention centers. Migration is not a crime, and we condemn the use of detention as a response to it.

" decolonize!
Against oppression globally"
21.10.2023 at 4 p.m.
At Oranienplatz

EU politics and interests are continuously disrupting the Middle East, pushing millions of people to be on the move, forced to leave their homes. Despite Europe being accountable for political disruption, wars and climate change in the global south, the EU borders remain the biggest obstacle for those fleeing death and poverty. Frontex, brutal coast guarding, pushbacks, deportations and constant criminalisation of migrant communities in Europe are putting millions of women*, children and LGBTQI communities at serious risk. All around the world from the opressed muslim women* in France forced to take off their Hijab and Abaya, to the women* fighting in Iran against the Islamic regime forcing them to where a Hijab taking away their most basic rights, the struggle remains the same. We call out to fight and unite against all ((oppressive)) patriarchal, capitalist regimes across the world. Whether facing dictatorship, ((settler colonialism, occupation,)) being on the move, facing the police, in our work places or schools we face constant oppression, repression and exploitation. Enough is enough Decolonize our minds, bodies and lives! We demand the abolition of all forms of policing, military prison systems, border regimes against every restriction of freedom of movement and freedom of speach! We demand a world without apartheid, borders and fascism!

Global Majority united! There we stand, after 75 years of oppression and apartheid in Palestine and more than 5 centuries of colonialism in the Global majority! Enough is enough! We will not be silent anymore! Germany wants to wash away its historical guilt with our blood, where even mourning is forbidden for our loved ones who're facing genocides under apartheid, dictator regimes, fortress European border policies and exploitations. Since the liberation of Palestine is interconnected with liberation and freedom everywhere in the global majority, In our collective consciousness, we recognize that it's important to expand and connect our fight for liberation with other different communities in Berlin and beyond. The repression and the violence of the colonial continuities targets us all here, in Palestine and in the global majority. Europe, through its role in fostering conflicts, perpetuating injustices, encouraging arms trade, dictating EU policies, influencing living standards, upholding white supremacy, and sustaining colonial legacies, has compelled countless individuals to flee their homelands. Yet, those who reach the Western shores find themselves subjected to unequal treatment, encountering violations of their rights, and facing militarized European borders that have resulted in the loss of thousands of lives. Furthermore, upon arrival, they are often relegated to isolation in camps and denied their fundamental human rights and needs. We must acknowledge that no one is free until we're all free! The enduring struggles of the Global majority demand boundless and unwavering solidarity. When we challenge the dominance of white supremacy and approach decolonisation , it is imperative that we incorporate the perspectives of communities that have suffered for centuries under the yoke of colonialism and racist capitalism. We must unite against exploitation, oppression, and discrimination in all their manifestations such as Racism and antisemitism, transcending borders and industries to foster a global movement for social, racial, and climate justice. We seek unity with our fellow activists and communities both locally and across the Global Majority. We cordially invite all groups, organizations, collectives, and individuals who are dedicated to dismantling borders, combating police brutality, resisting militarization, fighting Apartheid meantime the colonial continuities, challenging the prison-industrial complex, dismantling patriarchy, and dismantling capitalism to organize and join us on the streets in solidarity for an Anti-Colonial protest alongside our siblings and communities in the global majority to end the continuous genocide on our lives and in our homes! We call for Mass protest under the title of: Global majority united✊🏾 Date: Saturday 28,October Time: 16Uhr (4pm) Location: O-platz This is an intersectional global struggle; its facets are interconnected! Global majority united! We will never be defeated by the colonial mentality of the western policies!
