Been pretty inactive here for a bit

Not putting any notification on this but I still need to get it out as today is a hard day for me
Today, August 29th, is the anniversary of my late best friend's death
I know if he could see this he wouldnt want me to mourn silently, on my own, on the same day every year, and that's exactly why I refuse to let myself be down in the dumps about it
So instead I want to think about him, how kind he was, how he helped me make the first steps towards accepting myself and letting myself be who I am
I want to think of how brave he was for someone his age, fighting cancer, and Ill always be proud of him for how he still tried his hardest to see the best in everything no matter how hard it was
I love you
Ill always consider you my best friend through and through, and Ill keep your memory safe and when the time comes Ill see you again
And Im proud of you, Im proud of having known you and having shared this time of my life with you
