Being the person your dog thinks you are is being yourself. They're not wrong about us, they're not deluded innocents imagining we're infinitely good and lovable because they don't know about all the bad things we do. Unconditional love is the correct perspective. You ARE the person your dog thinks you are.

Here's something I wrote in 2018:

All harmful actions come from pure Divine goodness filtered through confusion and pain
All beings deserve ENTHUSIASTIC, DELIGHTED unconditional love
Everyone is Divine, believe in everyone - including yourself
Your natural energy is EXACTLY RIGHT and expressing it is the best thing you can do
