Think about how this became a social convention among rough and tumble seafarers.

Not too many generations ago, a son/daughter that heaped shame on a family had no place to lay their head in the community. A sullied name.
I just checked, and there are +/- 6 people under 50 in the entire US named Hitler. Likely all of them unemployable.
I look forward to a time when You canโt find a Biden, Romney, Pelosi or Kerry in the phone book. Grandchildren will change their name for shame.
Maybe, like the Egyptians, they will take Iron tools and carve them from their very headstones.

If they attack a NATO convoy of weapons en route to assist Ukraine? It should trigger article 5, and the US is bound by NATO charter to lend boys in boots to the effort.
