Kuwait says its giant crude oil tanker Al-Salmi was directly targeted by an Iranian attack while anchored in the anchorage area of Dubai Port, UAE.

The tanker was fully loaded at the time of the incident.

The attack caused structural damage to the vessel and triggered a fire on board, with a possible oil spill in the surrounding waters.

BIG: Trump has told aides he is willing to end the current U.S. war with Iran even if the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed.

The White House now believes that forcibly reopening the strait would require a much longer and riskier military campaign than Trump wants.

Instead, the administration’s immediate goal is to cripple Iran’s navy, missile stockpiles, defense industry, and strike capacity, then wind down hostilities and try to pressure Tehran diplomatically to allow shipping to resume.

That means the U.S. may stop short of fully restoring freedom of navigation before declaring its main war aims achieved.

If diplomacy fails, Washington is reportedly hoping that allies in Europe and the Gulf will take on more of the burden of securing the waterway later, rather than the U.S. doing it immediately alone.

This is a major gamble, because the Strait of Hormuz remains one of the most important energy chokepoints in the world.

Even if the U.S. can claim military success against Iran, leaving Hormuz partially shut would mean the economic shock of the war could continue long after the shooting slows down.

Satellite imagery suggests Iran may have moved up to 540 kg of highly enriched uranium to an underground tunnel complex in Isfahan just days before Israeli and US airstrikes in June 2025.

A high-resolution image from June 9 shows a heavy truck carrying 18 shielded containers at the tunnel entrance.

Experts believe the containers resemble Type B nuclear transport casks, potentially capable of holding Iran’s entire stockpile of 60% enriched uranium.

If true, this would mean:
Iran likely emptied Natanz and Fordow before the strikes.

The enriched uranium may now be stored in an undamaged underground facility.

The IAEA still does not know the exact location of the material.

Iran could theoretically further enrich 60% uranium to weapons-grade (90%) in about 10 days using advanced centrifuges.

Yesterday was an extremely difficult day for the United States.

1. Yesterday, an internal coup occurred in the US military. More than 12 generals were removed from their positions for refusing to carry out "suicide missions" against Iran. It seems as if regime change has occurred in the United States.

2. Today, Iran shot down one American F-15 fighter jet and one A-10 attack aircraft. A helicopter sent to search for the pilots was also hit.

4. US forces reportedly entered Iranian territory to rescue the pilots, but suffered serious losses in clashes with Iranian forces.

5. Meanwhile, Iran rejected a US offer of a 48-hour ceasefire. Presumably, the US made this offer to buy time to search for the pilots. However, Tehran, through intermediaries in Islamabad, made it clear that there would be no ceasefire.

6. This was the most difficult day for the United States since the war began. The impact of the military reshuffle will become clear in the coming days.

7. It is likely that generals who were unsatisfactory to Israel were removed, and new ones were appointed in their place. The consequences of this within the United States will become clear soon.

8. While the United States is suffering losses, Israel and its air force are not active. Israel started the war, and the United States is paying the price.
