Captain William Loren McGonagle commanded the USS LIBERTY.
In spite of multiple wounds, he worked closely with his comms officer to succesfsully break through the Israeli jamming process to secure comms with the US Fleet.
Though successful, President Johnon ordered the Fleet to not engage or sail to the rescue; an order they later ignored.
McGonagle continued to manage and control his ship in spite of the damage inflicted by Israeli fighters and bombers - and torpedo boats; in the end, more than 200 sailors were killed or wounded in the Israeli attack; the USS Liberty [a non-combatant (NSA) surveillance ship, was flying the US Flag, in International waters.

The Israelis claimed they thought it was an Egyptian Battleship [althugh the US Embassy/Military Attache' had previously alerted the IDF of the presence and status of the USS Liberty]
; the Attache was in constant contact with the IDF throughout the attack and cursed the Israeli Military for their murderous slaughter of US Military personnel.

Captain McGonagle was awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions; but, President Johnson, bowing ot pressure from Israel broke the tradition of presenting the MOH to McGonagle, so, Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Tom Moorer presented the award in the US Navy Yard in Southeast Washington. From that time forward, senior Pentagon officers refuesed to extend Military courtesies [e.g., the hand salute] to Johnson, referring to him openly as a "gutless coward".

Admiral Moorer never forgave Israel [or Lyndon Johnson] for this unprovoked abhorrent act - disguised as a "defense against Egypt aggression"; Moorer's legacy, as was my brother's the absolute condemnatio of Israel. From that time forward, Pentagon officials have not regarded Israel as an ally.

I hadn't heard this rumor, but, now that she mentions it, she really does
look quite Reptilian. Hmm, something to look into.
[All this time, I thought she was just a honker]

Hmm, I'm not seeing any desperate women and chldren on these vessels;
just Mlitary age young men.

Round them up and we'll set up nice accomodations for them in the desert -or in Alaska.

The constant stream of fighting age African and middle Eastern men en route to Europe, aided and abetted by NGOs every step of the way, little to no deterrent, and so many nations signed into the EU migration pact, invisible handcuffs and no end in sight.

I'm in a hiatus for the time being while I await the transfer of my blog site to a new platform, far away from the Google censors.
It seems the Twitter censors have moved to Gurgle, and they unilaterally delete my posts, even while they reside in draft form.

Since i'm merely renting their platform, and they make the rules, I'm stuck.
So, while I wait for my new platform, I'm working on several drafts of topics you may find interesting.

In the interim, I'll repost some items that you might find relevant to today's situations.
For today's topic, since there's been some discussion of guns, here's one regarding my favorite hand-gun, which served me well in combat.
I wrote this post based on the Mliitary's decision to replace the old WW2 pistol with cool 9 mm, which all the young GIs would love.
I'm old school, for a reason.

Bring him before a Congressional committee and have him spill the beans on who gave the orders and who participated.

Arrest the CHP participants and the supervisor involved.
