Having served in Laos in the early 70s, I can attest to the ever present danger of my own guerrilla units getting mangled by these bomblets.

I escorted (to Thailand) one unit which had strayed into one of these fields; I was the only passenger with both feet on the evac plane.- and these were our guerrilla troops.

I have a friend who currently scours the countryside for these bombs.

Laos was once a lush, tropical paradise.
