Regarding demonizing of Musk; here’s a note from FL Gov DiSantis

Gov. Ron DeSantis said
“the state is working with Elon Musk to position his SpaceX Starlink satellites to provide more connectivity.”

DeSantis showed off the equipment Saturday that will be placed in Lee County.
"So those are going to be really for their use in places that are offering emergency response," DeSantis said.

The governor added that SpaceX has donated 120 devices to help connect other communities ravaged by Hurricane Ian.”

So far, I haven’t heard squat from Biden or the Dems
- other than they complained DiSantis called up “unvaccinated National Guard” to assist in the relief effort!

I appreciate the many comforting words I’m getting from folks about this disaster’s outages.

But, then I recall that, when I was in the Military, my foxhole did not have
A/C
Electricity
Cell Service
Running Water

And people I didn’t even know were trying to kill me.

Not too different from the deployed troops in recent years had it;

Or, the American Colonists had.

So, I write this off as a minor inconvenience - although our government seems intent on killing us, and we actually know them!

Separate photo shows my small generator (gasoline/propane/natural gas) outside with power cord running to the spool, into which I tie refrigerator, freezer, and other appliances.
Stocked up on batteries which power my lamps - one of which has a connection for my cell phone power
(And thanks to Musk, I now have cell phone connectivity)

To ease concerns
This is the generator I use, which produces a substantial amount of power thru that yellow plug, into which the red extension cord is plugged
The yellow plug can power four 240 volt plugs; I use only one.
My appliance all run on 120v circuits, so my draw is quite small.

All my circuit breakers are off, except those feeding my small appliances.

Electric power is forecast within the next 24 hours.

DiSantis has my vote - a hell of a lot more than Christie or Jeb Bush!

It’s quite efficient.
One propane tank lasts about 8 hours;
8 gallon gasoline tank lasts another 8 hours.
I turn it off at night and keep the doors closed to the fridge & freezer and crank them up in the morning.

Gas stations no longer have long lines, so I have several 5 gallon cans for back up, plus 2 propane tanks.

Much better than the old foxholes!

Shining the spotlight on them - and identifying the key actors -
Tends to neutralize them.

They’ve noticed their numbers have dwindled, and paid attention when photos of the corpses of their henchmen arrive in the mail.
